The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Kontinent, the new collaborative project and live act from Colombian artists Filmmaker and Sadxmafioso. “Planet Last Spin” comes off the upcoming EP on Body Musick, the new imprint from Filmmaker. On their debut EP 'Kontinental', the duo provides 5 Industrial Electro tracks with Breakbeat and Big Beat influenced tones. A hard take on Body's growing catalog that will contribute to the sound definition on what they refer as Dungeon Electronics.

The label aims to release tracks that relate to Filmmaker's previous works as well new music for expanding the soundscape on industrial electronics and synth experiments. All this combined with the retrofuturistic aesthetics designed and illustrated by Filmmaker.

02 Hide And Seek

'We Stay Together' is a brand new doublepack from Andy Stott, a companion piece of sorts to the radical inversions of the 'Passed Me By' EP released earlier this year. Its predecessor left many heads dazed upon impact - in the best possible sense - and these six tracks, produced in its wake, amp the pressure to throttling degrees. Entering the digital compression chamber of 'Submission' you become a willing participant, before the lights are cut and you're forced to adjust to the humid atmosphere and bruising, muscle-contracting darkroom throb of 'Posers'. Suitably initiated, the EP's fearless centrepiece 'Bad Wires' plunges into full on mud-party mode, dropping the tempo while intensifying the kinaesthetic funk with slow, clusterf*cked syncopation until you're drowning in synthesized oil and crushed-glass textures. Fully submerged by 'We Stay Together (Part One)' time becomes elasticated like worn VHS tape, calling to mind Jamal Moss and James Ferraro soundtracking a rave in a sodden, flooded sauna, before inescapably tumbling into the sheer black hole of 'Cherry Eye' and left to the slompy jack of 'Cracked'. Blatantly, we rate this record massively, and although it's not for everyone, those looking for a more visceral, intense form of dancefloor pressure would do very well to check in

By now you must be already familiar with Qual being the solo project of William Maybelline, one half of the Lebanon Hanover duo. 
When William first stepped into the scene as an individual artist back in 2014, he declared the intention to explore the very grimmest areas in synth-based music. 
While Sable debut LP was unapologetically gothic in subject matter and sound, Qual’s most recent and uncompromising outputs of Cupio Dissolvi EP and last year’s album The Ultimate Climax merge the despairingly freezing properties of 90s EBM with the more aggressive sensibilities of industrial techno without ever diluting the intensity of either. 
Brand new 4-track EP Cyber Care is the perfect synthesis of both these aspects. On A side the slither of the title-track and the mechanical assault of Inject Your Mind will make you feel the hardest, most vicious side of Maybelline’s creation. B side’s I Have To Return Some Video Tapes and Motherblood will toss you into a ice-cold galaxy of paranoia and disorientation. 
This is not an appealing world, as Qual is impossible to listen to half-heartedly - it will drag you by the jaw and butcher you in a dirty alleyway.
