Alex Vanni - Hypnotized

UK producer Reuben Lowe returns to 3rd Avenue with his follow-up release, the Dark Matter EP. After making his debut on the Three Of A Kind EP #32 earlier this year and contributing to Correlation Vol. 8 on Sound Avenue, Reuben has quickly become a name to watch within the label family. His first solo project, the Cosmopolitan EP released this summer, showcased his ability to craft deep, melodic journeys with both atmosphere and drive.

With Dark Matter EP, Reuben builds further on that foundation, presenting two new originals, Dark Matter and Ether. Both tracks highlight his evolving sound, combining immersive textures with a forward-thinking approach to progressive house. In 2016, Robert Mason released Soul Child, with it quickly becoming one of Modern Agenda's bestselling tracks. Supported by Legend, Hernan Cattaneo himself in both his live sets and Resident podcast, this brought Soul Child to a receptive audience and it was met with accolades. 

Now, Modern Agenda's 17th release includes the Original and four new remixes, each with a distinct sound, hailing from five different countries, Canada, The Netherlands, Mexico, Argentina and Greece. 

Paul Hazendonk's remix takes us into a world of dirty bass and delectable flecks of percussion. The powerful kick leads the way with "naughty meets nice" synth work and a moody lead. Paul's remix is stylishly crafted and meticulously sonically tailored to bring out the true essence of the sounds he's used.

Mexican producer Alejandro Manso literally finished his remix around the time his city was hit by an earthquake. After regaining electricity, Alejandro delivers his brooding piece complete with menacing bass and an inviting tumble down the rabbit hole, promising something truly different. 

Bringing great Argentinian vibes to the EP is Lucas Rossi with his rendition of Soul Child. Lucas percussively leads us in a different direction than the Original while holding our attention by including undulating nuances of familiar sounds. His remix carries a carefree cadence that is sure to make any dancefloor come alive. 

The final remix of Soul Child is brought to us from Greek producer Blusoul. With his crafted round kick and the deep, melodic grooves Blusoul is best known for, including an energetic delivery, his remix adds a completely different flavour to the Original. Sure to turn the night up a notch, this remix is a win.
