Inspired by the ASMR phenomenon and it’s often inescapable sexual undertone, ByLwansta introduces “ASMR” - a sensual and sexually charged R&B influenced hip hop song.

“I took the often-uncomfortable intimacy of ASMR and turned it into an opportunity to express my sensual side, verbalizing my inner thoughts.”

The song features up-and-coming singer-songwriter Alisha Rosa, alternative R&B crooner Some.Unique.Individual & genre-bending, melodic lyricist, Rāms.

Its R&B-influenced composition & production set a sensual mood, lead by a pulsing synth bass, layered over an 808 and a soft synth pad. ASMR will appear on the final installment of ByLwansta’s SPIJØNGET Series, in Chapter Three.

NORMVL is a tape filled with personal grievances and imagery about lwansta’s past, his family debacles, struggle with his ability to control his emotions and the infidelity of his ex, whilst making it relatable to the listener. An example of this would be the song NORMVL  where he addresses his struggle to balance college pressures and music ” … I’m losing focus I came to study but this graphic design is so f**** hard, I think I might’ve wasted daddy’s money.”  The tape is filled with a just amount of quotables- such as the one previously mentioned- describing  himself and all the things he or others  might be facing in life, making those who relate to the story seem normal, as to justify he’s defining characteristics as a person and a hip hop artist.

So on "KICKSTAND", I celebrate the symbiotic nature of a relationship where the couple creates a safe place between themselves, coming unashamedly with their guards down, insecurities and pain in hand, and ‘licking each other’s wounds’ as they bond over common feelings of pain, in an attempt to revive each other’s spirits.

I produced this one, 'cause no one in my band wanted to help lol, so it's my favorite.

"IT'S LATE" takes a traditionally dark turn (for me) and finds a sleepless me up at 3am with the opening lines of Corinne Bailey Rae’s “Trouble Sleeping” echoing as the soundtrack to his dilemma.

Wide-awake with my laptop open and my lady fast asleep at his side, I battle to keep his mind off work and ironically, my dreams, believing that the only way to stop people from “sleeping on me” is for me to literally stop sleeping on himself, and stay awake to work towards these dreams.
