GCW lovingly presents the debut album of a Mr Paxton Fettel. To cut not a particularly long story short, you’re in for a real treat.

Everything stays the same is a beautifully conceived work of house music which delves in depth and diversity, tapping into the old bittersweet emotion. It's a true labour of love presented in Double LP format.

Amber light burns opens the mood with subtle and refined melody, a suggestive Detroit dynamic, firing arpeggiated weaving synth work and an enigmatic outlook.

A filtered funk perpetuates on Beyond the sapphire surf, fluctuating hi hats sway in and around a circulating and pulsating low end bump... freaking bass twangs, the full nine yards delivered.

When left to his own devices, utilizing real instruments along with a proper kerfuffle for a shuffle he belts out blinders. Cloud feeling really epitomises the Fettel ethic of playfulness. Blissful charm and slickness for her pleasure.

Another hanny fammer paced down slammer, Dots on the skyline displays proper musicianship placing focus on crafted drummer jams and selected keyboard gems.

Future adventures provokes seemingly effortless expression from the fender rhodes, A poolside tune for poolside loons.

Manifesting the most expressive intuitiveness of an evocative sample gets a lock in here. Lift off thumps and grinds itself along, mad with rich attenuation and weight of skills.

Pax meets Takuya, paralleling influence and sustainability a bond brings out a mad collision. Afloat on a sea of nothing is immersed in an innermost display of passion, brilliantly smoothed over in fine fashion.

Solitary returns re invites the initial heads down bruiser, going out to the lifetime chooser… Return yourself to the start why don’tcha?

Inspired by Ludwig Göransson’s haunting “Can You Hear The Music” — the lead track from the Oppenheimer soundtrack — “CYHTM” begins with a cinematic, tension-heavy intro driven by ethereal violins as opposed to flutes and subtle orchestral textures. The calm doesn’t last: after the break, it erupts into a storm of rolling reeces, booming sub-bass and stripped-back, precise percussion. A powerful opener for any deep or minimal set.

Acquiesce
On the flip, “Acquiesce” pushes the minimal approach even further. Stark, mechanical, and free of any organic textures, it drives deep into the darker spectrum of drum and bass. Punchy basslines and crisp drums dominate, offering a cold yet captivating groove designed for the late hours.

M:Pathy once again showcases his talent for atmosphere and detail while keeping things razor-sharp for the dancefloor. Pure minimal pressure with cinematic soul.

Bit different from his ordinary productions. This is more of a straight forward house track with grooving hats, great sampling and a very dj-friendly arrangement. Basically a really dope track!

Real instruments and penetrating decisiveness serve an emotionally rendered piece of the blues, perpetually enticing mood binding empathetic maneuvers. Paxton orchestrates feeling with musicality well beyond the average clique, despairing yet hopeful, slickly jazzed and upfront drumming produce a mad example of what he's capable of pulling off/

Straight out of Copenhagen we get treated to yet another fine instance of a Paxton Fettel classic with They Go Unseen. A trademark loop on the ivories, chunky as you like it thumping kick, accompanied with tricky hi hat ticking. It's as simple as that but done with such finesse, the chaps a natural for it. You'd be forgiven not to call it house music… it is just straight up vibing jazz with space and consistency. Textualised with spirit at the focal point of the mix.

The flipside pumps out Permafunk, this kid got a piano for chrimbo .. bebop flavour constitutes jive with heavy four four dancefloor rufness. Ready and willing to make your hairs prickle... happy basement wigging (?) you could imagine swinging the Charleston to this while the whole room erupts around ya…

Rollocking tastiness resides with Nothing Never, a monumental odeing trip of full on inner rightousness. Painstakingly accurate aural imagery portraits a professive leaning of awakening content. A groan becomes a song of tranquil easiness unfurling in front, beating down with ultimate Paxton traits.

Kickin’ it back out of shape Back Alley Shuffle turfs out some cosmic shavings on top of that faculty stamped key work. Doting on dragging bounce and sprightly groove, it's another persuading wiggle to dutiful musings in noise.
