After blessing us with his banger of a track "Drool Pool" all the way back in 2020 for our Vol.1 Comp we have long awaited the day we can put out a full EP from Inertia.

We're pleased to welcome back the mega talented J. Kong for what will be his last EP under this moniker before moving to a new alias for 2023. This does not mean the end for In:flux and J. Kong though, as we plan to continue working with the producer under his new alias 'imakemusicbtw' on projects from next year onwards, and as you will see the two original tracks see a co-production credit for this new alias to help facilitate new beginnings whilst simultaneously bringing an era to a close.

This is still vintage J. Kong, with musicality in spades and his signature stripped back drums driving the tracks along in a way only he can. This time round he's gone big with lovely micro-transitions and glitches, and this is a sign of what the new alias may encompass, whilst still retaining everything we have loved about J. Kong for these past few years.

On remix duty it is none other than label bosses Tik&Borrow who are back once again on remix duty following their flip on SHVA's EP back in June. This time the duo take B-side 'Pass' and give it the sound system treatment with rolling distorted subs accompanying the lovely vocal stabs from the original, before progressing the tune into a future garage affair for the final stages.

We've had the pleasure to work J. Kong on this project for the past 4 years, releasing 4 EPs, tracks across several compilations and too many remixes to count. We look forward to continuing this on his new project throughout 2023 and beyond!

Premiere: Abstrakt Sonance - Soulless | Wheel & Deal Records

What better way to kick off our 10th year as an imprint than have the two troublemakers behind it all, Tik&Borrow, release their first EP in 18 months on the label.

This one sees the duo harnessing a techy sound palette in their production, from the interwoven drums of lead track 'Sable' to the subtle key progressions in the outro of title track 'Revolution', the pair have clearly been enjoying the process of bringing other musical elements into these tracks without sacrificing what makes them, well them. This is on show the most with the third original track 'Avril', which sees the duo step far outside of their usual sound, utilising sparse soundscapes and techno rhythms alongside 808 thumps and breakbeats, to create something truly unique but in keeping with the vibe throughout the EP.

On remix duty we are delighted to welcome our brothers Saraphim to the label to give their twist on lead track 'Sable', and boy, are you in for a treat. They take the original and add a bit of spice as only they can, turning it into a wubby roller that is the perfect closer for our first EP of the year.

Dub engineer Rumble marking territory with his own label imprint - PHiZiCAL. Featuring on the label's first release, Rumble himself sets the bar with two earthy dubwise arrangements - Hum / King Dub.

Jah-Tek presents track A 'Hum', a rinse-out dub march lined with air and colour,  coated in Rumble's signature spring reverb tank whilst packing heavy low-end movement. True sound system flavour from the renowned mastering engineer, much more to come from him in 2023.
