NVRMND joins Next Level with an awesome EP containing 5 tracks of pure bass loaded goodness.
Starting off with "Acid Mind" a minimalistic track which has a certain psychedelic edge to it. Once it hits, the sub immediately takes center stage while dreamy wobbles and subtle vocals flow in and out. A perfect track to start this EP off with.
On the second track things start to ramp up a little with "Unite". An eclectic track that seems to draw influences from all sides. With it's big thumping kicks, slow pulsating bassline and persian sounding horns makes it the perfect weapon to spice up those early hour sets.
Next up is "City boy" a synth heavy track with huge flopping kicks and snares. It's main melody is rough but at the same time has a rare kind of groove that you don't hear often these days. It then transitions into almost 8-bit like territory where the big flopping kicks and snares get traded in for tightly woven drums and punchy snares only to switch back a few seconds later. Lovely stuff!
Track number four features "LSD" on this one NVRMND shows that Dubstep doesn't mean slow and sluggish... No, not by a long shot. This high octane roller feels like it wants to run over a dancefloor like a bulldozer and then back up to make sure it hasn't missed a spot. A serious stomper for the listener that likes to take it up a notch.
Last but certainly not least is "Fusion" the title track of this EP. You can tell NVRMND channels all the love he has for those early Coki & Jakes releases and has fused it into one behemoth of a production. Once it drops there's no stopping it so consider this a fair warning...

1point5 is back for his first solo EP on In:flux Audio since 'Perception' back in January 2015. He has been pottering around the label plenty since then though, with plenty of remixes and of course, his collab EP last November with founders Tik&Borrow. This time round we showcase three tracks from the producer, all of which showcase his evolution into firmer Dubstep territory, whilst retaining that signature 2-step 1point5 sound that we know and love.

On remixes, it's a selection of label loves who are returning the favour to 1point5 after he provided superb remixes on their EPs. Ali McK & IYZ are up first, with their reworking of 'Backspace' - a more twinkly affair with a superb reworking of the lead section into something more dark and brooding, whilst still retaining the duos ear for a banger. Fork and Knife closes out the EP with his UK Garage take on the lead track 'Solar Signal', all percussion, wubs and vibes - the perfect exit to a stunning EP.

About the guests

Tamarak is Josh J Searles, veteran underground bass music producer, composer and classical guitarist better known for over a decade of releases as one half of the Canadian West Coast Dubstep duo Daega Sound. With dozens and dozens of track released worldwide on vinyl, digital and CD formats under monikers Tamarak and Daega Sound, Searles' music have been number one on Junodownload Deep Dubstep charts as well his new releases regularly chart in the top ten on platforms Junodownload and Beatport. Tamarak has had solid support from BBC Radio 1's Rene LaVice, UK's Drum & Bass Arena and UK Dubstep pioneer and head of Artikal Music, Jkenzo. His compositions under moniker Daega Sound have also been widely supported by BBC Radio 1's underground music legend Mary Anne Hobbs.

His tracks, collaborations and remixes have been released on Hatched Music, Deep Heads, Unchained Asia, Really Good Recordings, Interchill, Southside Dubstars UK, Eastvan Digital, Muti Music, FKOF, Woodwork Recordings, Car Crash Set, Tuba NYC, Black Box as well as Mutek Compilation alongside Amon Tobin. Lööt Sound Radio, Ep2: The WEENS

Claes Rosén and Ola Näslund from Nynäshamn, located south from the city of Stockholm, Sweden, form the duo respectively known as L-Wiz.

Although not from UK Shores like much of the early pioneers of the Dubstep sound, their love for UK Bass Music in the early noughties put them on the path to being one of the early contributors to the emerging genre of Dubstep.  A UK genre which has since gone on to influence many aspects of popular mainstream bass music culture today.

In 2003 they reached out to Caspa, through what was back then the legendary dubplate.net forum. One of the only forums where the early originators and pioneers of the sound were able to connect and share ideas outside of the physical realm of clubland, where CD’s would pass hands as frequently as tracks pass digitally over Bandcamp today.

This fateful interaction, culminated in the first L-Wiz release on what the beginning of the irrefutable Dub Police label (Dub Police 001 – Habibi, Egyptic, Girlfriend). From then on L -Wiz has had a slew of releases on labels such as Universal Music, Sony Music, Kapsize, Destructive Recordings, Sonic Boom, Red Volume and their crew label All Out Dubstep.

Recognition of the Duo’s achievement in this sphere, led to them winning the P3 Gold music prize in 2012 for “Dance of the Year” from the Swedish radio channel Sveriges Radio P3, the first Dubstep act to win this award in at that time was the 9th year in the ceremony’s history.

In 2015 they released their debut Album entitled “The Orange Tree”. A showcase of the duo’s unique style which features 15 tracks. The album is an eclectic combination of ideas which are the culmination of the pair’s passion and sonic history, blended together in a sublime manner which has delighted both fans of old and the new Dubstep “new guard” whom are championing this sound for the future.

In recent years the duo have expanded into the area of label management, with the launch of their record label NA Records in 2018. With this they can continue to provide an outlet for their sound and to use it as a platform to launch other’s whose sounds resonate with their own time and space.
