I stumbled upon this in an old thumb drive. I wrote these guitar parts - I think - back in 2011 or 2012. Pretty sure this ended up being a B-side from All is Mist and Fog, or was intended to be on the follow up release afterwards (which ended up being the Pest release). Cool little song anyway. I love coming across old stuff you'd totally forgotten about!    

Peacock March

Stuff I'd written for an assignment back when I was doing one of my music undergrads (I wanna say 2011?). It ended up being pretty metal, and then Frog even put some drums behind it! I think it's a cool track. Enjoy.  

Wind Force Tundra

This one-off Norse song was written during August, 2015, in response to the band being offered an opportunity to record at the SAE Institute, Sydney. It's interesting to note that this is the first Norse song to be written collaboratively by all the members of the band since the Hellstorm release (which was back in 2008, or something). It's got some really cool fat bits in it too, courtesy of Shayne being really good at writing cool fat bits (thanks, man!). 

On a personal note, I extend my sincerest gratitude and thanks to Hayden Willis and Marlon "Ain't" Dunn. You guys really blew me away with your positive attitude and your commitment to your work. I wish you both the best in your future endeavours - you legends!

I put together this arrangement for two electric guitars and bass. Could become useful ostinato (for all voices) one day in a future Norse track perhaps. 

I was listening to Paracletus by Deathspell Omega alot around the time I wrote this. If you're familiar with with that brialliant body of work, then let me know if you can Deathspell's influence in my writing here, too! I'd like to know.

The title of the track is a reference to my disdain for the sunshine in Australia. It's disgusting, and being to it feels like you're DNA is being torn apart (it is). Give me snow. Give me night. Give me Scandinavian soft light.

Dream On My Demon

This is a demo of a song I had written the guitar and keys for, and then which Frog and I had arranged about four or five times, neither of which sitting comfortably with us in the Studio. Though this is one of the good ones, and one which Frog had done a rough drum track with. At the time we were working on the follow up to All Is Mist And Fog which we released in 2011. Norse's sound was already changing substantially since we formed back in 2006, and this song shows that we had clearly no intention of staying in one place, either.
