Dirtwire - Burning Man 2016 DJ Mix

Ryan Forever aka Ryan Farber is taking over our Minimix series this week with a 30 minute journey into the recesses of Ryan’s creative mind. It opens on a dark, grating tip and brings us into realms of techno, glitch, and dark synth-wave before getting a bit more playful and dipping into trappier dance levels that give way to delightfully frenetic high BPM party music. This set was curated and mixed live on Moonstone Beach, in Northern CA for the Humboldt Green Week of events. If you haven't stopped off the 101 and scoped out our local parks, you are missing out. Love this Northern California coast line. What an incredible beach day with friends.

I feel like I speak for a lot of us when I say this past year has been challenging and full of a lot of heavy changes. As the days start to get longer I feel like the light is finally starting to come back. This mix is essentially a musical representation of a lot of emotions I’ve been feeling over the past few months. I decided to not focus on technical mixing so much with this per se but was more aiming to showcase a collection of songs new and old from over the years that have helped me process and move forward.
