ZEN is the new debut album from LOVE APE (alias Moiety). The album is inspired by the calming effect of nature on the human brain and all tracks are made in a meditative state of mind. Although there are club friendly tracks on the album, it is created to bring a meditative state of mind to the creator and listener.

Hot on the heals of Funnuvojere's second anniversary, the record label headed by Massimiliano Pagliara shares its eight release. Taking good care of Funnuvojere's latest release slot is Clarinets, the new alias of Tbilisi based Gacha Bakradze. The four tracks composing this EP highlight Bakradze’s mastership in designing harmonies. The closing track, and the track that we're premiering today, ‘Afternoon’ is a warm house ballad to round-off the last moments of a long after-hours session.

All wrapped in a custom made silkscreen sleeve, also including a textile keychain and stickers. Sonically spanning from ambient to techno, 10 Yahre carries new and exclusive material, all woven around the label’s decade focus on dance floor culture, started 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

Axel Boman - Don’t Breathe Yet

Joakim commissioned remixes of his latest album Second Nature by artists he loves, some rising stars and some legends ;-)

This is the first one, feat @yutie_lee, by Chilean born, Italy based @paula.tape who recently released a great EP on @rhythmsectionhq and will be touring the world this summer!

Some words about this work from Paula :

"I had a feeling for Formosan Rock immediately, the very first time I listened to. I loved how organic the sounds were, I love the percussions and the use of birds sound.
I was intrigued by the lyrics and ask to joakim the translation to understand how I can work on the cuts. Joakim’s work is great, the original is a beautiful track and it wasn't hard to find the right samples that fit with with my taste to work with.
I had the feeling to add a house spin and build an emotional moment that can touch the listener and take him by hand to the end, either for private listening and live djsets.
It's been much fun trying to give a second life to the original one. I hope people may enjoy it as much I did when I have been working on it. Thanks Joakim for inviting me in this remix pack, it's a honour for me."

After Flori’s excellent ‘Within Reason’ EP secretsundaze release their second EP of the year with Galway based John Daly and ‘Everlasting’. John has been plying his trade for many years now releasing numerous quality tracks across labels such as Mule Music, International Feel, TAANSTAFL,and of course secretsundaze with ‘One More City’ last year. ‘Everlasting’ finds John in exceptional form. An epic 9 minute workout starts with fizzing hats and some magic keys before developing into a fluid, free flowing deep house/techno hybrid of the highest order. This is no peak time banger but a track for special moments. Coming at you a little bit like a jam between Larry Heard and Mathew Johnson we hope you like this as much as we do.

On the remix we have drafted in one of techno’s brightest hopes Marcelus form France. Best known for his work on Deeply Rooted, Tresor and his own Singular imprint he takes ‘Everlasting’ into wonderfully deep, bubbling and aquatic techno territory. Don’t be fooled though as Marcelus can’t quite hide his tougher techno roots as the kick drum suddenly doubles up giving the track a raw potency when you least expect it.

Another secretsundaze gem with John Daly and Marcelus proving to be a deadly pairing for those that like their techno music a little more cerebral.

It had been since the DJ Qu remix of Walt J that we did something on our subdivision Petite. You know, this is where we like to re-release those forgotten pearls, with a new remix on the flip. This time we chose for "On And On" by Italian-living-in-Scandinavia Raiders Of The Lost ARP. In 2003 "On And On" appeared as the D2 track on his album "4". But we thought this track is so great, it deserved a full A-side. On remix duties this time someone we've been wanting to work with since a long time, Patrice Scott. We've been following his Sistrum label since the very first release, and he just never disappoints. Neither does he this time. Check it out!

Inaugurating a new project of his, the aptly-named label Midnight Themes, @marlonhoffstadt establishes his territory somewhere between upper meditative spheres and full-on pragmatic body music. Our premiere, 'Mutual Desire', is a well-rounded slab of chimey house rife with acidic flares, cottony pads and a driving, bouncy drum work to emphasize its breezy swing with further 4/4 impact. Brittle and crystalline, yet bendy as can be when the bass drops, this one's geared towards nightly bohemians on the lookout for a safe dreamy haven. Score.

Following up from March's "Drømmeslottet", Lysgaard is clearly not letting new tracks rot on the shelf this year. "Bård Goes to Canada" appears to be the result of the incredible current state of the Bergen house and techno scene, which is in a whole new heyday thanks to clubs like DOT, and the long-awaited international success of Skatebård amongst others. 
Lysgaard has been impressing us with a solid string of releases since 2016's Assemble EP, which sold out on Juno in less than a day. This latest addition to his discography is no exception, despite having no major label backing. I guess literally living in the woods have its downsides. 
Skatebård himself informs us he is touring in Canada for the first time this spring, how's that for synchronicity.
