The 20th release all together the various sounds of the label V/A "The Phantom Images". With this issue we mark an important date for us - 5 years of our activity. We tried to collect our best releases and join future label artists.

Endrik Schroeder a key role in his native Grenoble's (France) electronic scene. He is known for releases on french «Zone Music» and dutch «Bordello A Parigi». Influenced initially by Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream and Art of Noise, Endrik Schroeder later added a love of techno, electro and Italo disco sounds to his arsenal and has now joint to Mosaique Records «5 Years Anniversary». Deep neural melodies and thoughtfulness of "Life Paradox" finally kidnap your consciousness.

With “Tendre Furie EP”, Emlio van Rijsel offers a glimpse of the wide array of his influences, embarking us on a synthful romantic & melancholic journey, depicting the nostalgia of missed blissful raving nights. Our choice here was closing track by Cheb Runner - mega talented producer who brings this thriller, like non-stop sweeping away everything in its path locomotive tune, perfect for the peak of the night on dancefloor.

E-bony - Robotic Camel

The Lille-based label Enlace Records welcomes young and promising producer Laure for its forthcoming release. The interesting “A Confused Mind” comes to life with three well-constructed originals and two insightful remixes made with love by LESSSS and Zaatar زَعْتَر (SXDNS332) and kicks the doors of the dance floors with its bold and energetic attitude. Hailing from Paris, Laure devotes herself to not fluffy genres: From IDM to Industrial Techno with a touch of Acid is what drives her sets and productions. Harshness with a proper dose of emotion and progressiveness define her sonority.

The track we were solicited to premiere/review comes from the mind of another young and promising French talent: Zaatar زَعْتَر is also a member of the dark side of music club. Her debut piece on La Bonne Fête drew the attention of the Indie Dance/Dark Disco community and kicked off her producing career in style.

Her revision of “Messy Thoughts” brings the theme to a more EBM realm – get used to it, that’s how she likes it. With a raw and intense atmosphere, Zaatar’s interpretation comes with heavy doses of darkness and misbehaviour provoked mainly by its robust bassline, a menacing synth layer, and a sort of melodic gait.

Krishna Goineau is well known for his starring role in ‘Los Niños del Parque’ with Liaisons Dangereuses and in other projects such as Velodrome and Xeroox. Through one of his friends we have been lucky enough to receive a hard disk on which there are a variety of unreleased tracks by Krishna Goineau with MCL (Micro Cheap League) recorded in the year 85-86. Krishna lived in Barcelona at that time and was involved in different groups while traveling through Germany and Belgium to create new projects. After dissolving Liaisons Dangereuses in 1983 Krishna started a new project with MCL where you can identify the essence and influences that he had at that time, touches of EBM and metal synthesizers with vocals in Spanish as in the track ” No Information ” These tracks are preserved in excellent quality in which Alden Tyrell has done the mastering on vinyl and digital. Having something like this is like finding a treasure in the middle of a secret island. To finalize the release we have edits from Silent Servant, Curses, Esprit Divers. Deckard & Lucient.

PREMIERE: Krishna Goineau feat. MCL - La Forgeron (Curses Edit) (Italo Moderni)

The voices continued, they rallied and roared on and on. They whispered and shouted, they teased and they taunted, they laughed and they mocked with a resilience like no other.

In the morning, in the evening they reverberated and rebounded with wild abandon.

"You will be mine" was what they whispered.

The sunlight beamed down from up above as the clouds parted and he began to ascend upwards into the sky. Perhaps they'd finally got him? Perhaps this was the time to rise above and beyond...

Jorkes is remixed by Hard Ton on Live At Robert Johnson. Several tracks have been reimagined from the original 'Sweet Dreams' EP from a number of talented artists but this was our out and out favourite from the lot as Hard Ton delivers a blistering cut of cosmic disco.
