This is really a masterpiece ! Beautiful melody, beautiful sounds !! Bravo !

Since i first heard Vivaldi´s Spring in the version of Max i fell in love with his interpretation so deeply, i always knew i had to use it at least once in one of my podcasts im compiling once in a while. It got so stuck in my head that one night last summer i dreamt about listening a new electronic version in a fictional place and i remember i really wanted to know who was the artist that did another take on this beautiful piece. After i woke up i noticed nobody yet had done it and it became clear that it would be myself doing the new version. Vivaldi´s 4 seasons is something special since i was a young child as it is the vinyl we listened to every christmas while we were waiting to receive our gifts. Now i feel the circle closes after all these years and i hope my version is doing the in this case 2 Originals a favour and giving these masterpieces another modern twist people can enjoy and get in touch with classical & electronic music.

Earlier in 2018, Tokyo's Yunosuke Senoo aka Lycoriscoris released his genre-defying album ‘Flight’ via Anjunadeep. Ambient, emotive, and cinematic, ‘Flight’ is a bold showcase of skilled production and songwriting. 'Flight (Remixed)’ sees reinterpretations from German artists Grandbrothers and Ryan Davis.

Erol Sarp and Lukas Vogel of Grandbrothers have won plaudits from the likes of Dixon and Gilles Peterson, and drawn comparison to Steve Reich and Nils Frahm. They create all of their sounds with a grand piano, everything from melody to percussion. On this, their first ever remix, Erol and Lukas re-imagine the soulful progression of ‘Blue’, accentuating the ruminative piano score of the original.

Ryan Davis’ interpretation of Lycoriscoris’ Stella begins unassumingly soothing and reflective, only to give way to dissonant strings and a dark vibrating low-end that evoke the cinematic production of Hopkins and Moderat.

Anjunadeep, the A&R hotbed that ignited the careers of label legends Lane 8, Yotto and Dusky, now present the second instalment of their new ‘Reflections’ compilation series. Following the inaugural volume in October, ‘Reflections Vol.2’ is a collection of downtempo and electronica from label stars Jody Wisternoff, Kidnap, Croquet Club and Luttrell, along with rising talents Luigi Sambuy, Lycoriscoris, Tryst and Dotmaka.

The compilation’s second single, stirring piano composition ‘Love Theme’, is from Berlin producer Martin Roth. 2021 marks over a decade long relationship with the label since Martin’s debut release back in 2010 and since, he’s produced some of the most memorable and fan favourite moments in Anjunadeep’s 15 year history; including ‘Beautiful Life’ and his ‘Hypno Seq’ and ‘Organic Cold Brewed Hipster Funk’ EPs in recent years. With an undeniable flair for emotive and cinematic songwriting, his 2020 ambient LP ‘An Analog Guy In A Digital World’ winning widespread acclaim, Martin makes a welcome return to the label with his latest filmic offering on the beautifully crafted ‘Love Theme’, out now.

'Reflections Vol. 2’ also features the long-awaited full release of Croquet Club’s Anjunadeep 09 highlight ‘Night Lights’, an exclusive piano piece from San Francisco’s Luttrell and label debuts from REVE D’ELLE a.k.a Fur Skillman (Eli & Fur) and TÂCHES, UK duo Tryst and Dotmaka.

Martin Roth - Love Theme

Lycoriscoris, aka Yunosuke Senoo, is a Japanese artist who's had a decade long tenure in the electronic music world. In recent years, Senoo has built a cult following as part of a new wave of Japanese producers. His signature blend of organic melodies with intricate sound design have won him support from the likes of DJ Koze, Michael Mayer, &ME and BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart. A multi-instrumentalist, Senoo has played at venues such as the legendary Dommune in Tokyo, And He has played live alongside the likes of The Field and Moritz Von Oswald.

His first album was released on an indie label in Japan, and he has since released on Anjunadeep, KOMPAKT KX. In 2018, he released his debut Anjunadeep album 'Flight', posititing in the top 5 Electronic albums on iTunes and gained support on tastemaker stations including BBC Radio 1, KEXP and NTS Radio as well as international press support. 2021 saw Senoo release his acclaimed album 'Chiyu'. The 9-track LP showcased Seeno's delicate production style and won appraisal from Mixmag Asia, DJ Mag and DJ Times; and gained support from the likes of Nick Warren, Joris Voorn, Hernan Cattaneo and Eelke Kleijn. 

He has performed globally, including in London, Shanghai and other international events, and has succeeded in leaving a strong impact on the showcases of many labels. As well as expanding his "Lycoriscoris" project, Seeno also composes tracks for TV and web commercials. Using both analogue and digital equipment he consistently pursues an organic soundscape and continues to present his sound from Japan to the world.
