Lydia Brunch is a noise poetry duo from Oslo , Norway. 

Using found objects to play on using echo pedals and overdrive - the soundscape is distortions of what we find on the ground. Lyrically Lydia Brunch is inspired by poetry from around the world, using spoken word as an entry to creating lyrics that revolve around climate, politics and personal relationships.

A sound-installation if the performative series Public Display of Grief, this is the first in the series of conversations. Anonymously talking about the passing of their partner, a person talks about their view on grief as a political and personal experience.

"Whenever you talk about someone who passed away, it always starts with "How are you doing and Im so sorry. " that statement. That is the beginning and end - it's difficult to know how much people really want to hear."

Incorporating lyrics from the early slam-poetry of Lydia Lunch (whom they are also named after) they set out on a live-jam consisting of sounds from different gear and musical equipment, mainly guitar pedals and vocal effect-boxes.
