Composed by Lou Di Falco. This is a tribute to a great fusion guitarist by the name of John Macey. Macey lived most of his life in New Jersey playing and teaching guitar. He was a brilliant player and a great friend who died way before his time in obscurity except for the many students and loyal followers he had. I wrote and recorded this tune in honor of him. I was fortunate that I got to record on his last album 20 years ago titled "Metal Bop Blues from Mars". I attempted to capture some of the energy that went into that CD. My sampled guitar solo was an attempt to recreate John's playing and admittedly it does not come close. I would like to thank Ed Dzubak (check out his great stuff on SoundCloud) who laid down a swinging drum track while hanging at my house one spring afternoon. Enjoy!
