Dancing Dolphins Mix Series

Hello guys! Dancing Dolphins is back! :) 

On this occasion, we bring you a fresh mix from Romain Fx, one of France most promising talents.

Currently residing in Nantes, Romain spent actually most of his life in Asia, more precisely in Hong Kong where he has been a key figure of the local scene for more than 12 years. He launched Fauve Radio and organised monthly parties under the name ROAM and helped building the Shi Fu Miz Festival. 

He is now running his own label Fauve Records and have been releasing countless tracks, edits or remixes those last months on labels like Fantastic Voyage, Mamie’s Records, Ca$hminus, Eskimo, Exploited, Hard Fist Records or Lagasta.

Romain is also an accomplished dj with immaculate eclectic tastes, allowing him to deliver very different kind of flavours and atmospheres.

For Dancing Dolphins he treats us with a very special mix, digging deeper into unknown territories, directly inspired by the name of the series!

How is the summer going?  It's not over yet and we bring you the next mix to keep enjoying it. This time we are really excited because it's the first woman's mix on the series 💜

Introducing @marymroman, 25 years old and living in São Paulo. Currently she’s studying to be an engineer and architect, but as soon as she started going to parties and raves, she realized how much she loved music. Then she began to create an intense relationship with music that has led her to make mixes for well-known platforms such as Gop Tun, Permanent Vacation and more!
Resident of @apartamento-21 and @bongosynth affiliate.

She's navigating effortlessly between a lot of different styles ranging from disco, dub to balearic oddities but let the music talk; enjoy the mix! 🐬

Originally from New York, Nico has been living in Berlin for a while now but he has decided that his new home will be our beloved city Barcelona. 

He has worked on numerous projects such as Ceci N'est Pas, INTRZ, Neud, Polymer or Wall $Treet. His great trajectory as a producer has given us many tracks with industrial and vibrant touches. Regarding his latest works, we can find "Split" for @frigio-records (Spain) and "Cocktail 4 a body"  for @pildorastapes (Colombia).

We hope you enjoy this mix with dark sounds and new beat rhythms.

Based in the beautiful and lively town of Mérida, capital of Yucatan, Mario Gonzalez Alvarado aka TYU shares his life between his job as an architect and his passion for music.

At the age of 27, he's already one of the most promising producers in Mexico with releases, remixes or appearances on labels such as Duro, Calypso Records, Multi-Culti offshoots Culted & Party Central or Belly Dance Services!
His most recent work has been for @quartiergroove Records first EP “Ritmo del Barrio” Bravo & Dj's - Difacil Rap (TYU Remix).

J.A.Z. is a Bedford-based selector and editor, from New York, USA. He combines his work as an Episcopal church minister with his lifelong hobby for music. He is a passionate vinyl collector and always delights us all with his musical selections.  <3

Hey there,
Last mix of the year comes by the hand of DJ Maik! 
He co-runs a Records and Second Hand Clothes called Store Sleeve++.
At the moment he's resident at the Mjut Club and running there his own party series Futuro Grande.  He's also running a bi-monthly radio show on Sphere Radio which is called 'Spass am Untergang' and is focused on german-speaking underground music mostly made in the early 80s.

Welcome one of the most expressive Polish producers of electronic music.

Originally from Koszalin, Marcin Łukaszewicz started his adventure with music in primary school. The first live performances appeared in the mid 90s. At the beginning, they were sets played from cassette tapes, and then from vinyl records. As Das Komplex, Łukaszewicz made a debut in 2007.

The first release of Das Komplex was the EP Nowadays, which was released in 2015 by by Father & Son Records & Tapes.
Years passed and Łukasiewicz did not intend to change his approach to creation. He regularly recorded and presented new productions.

Late 2021, he appeared on the Pikes Hotel compilation by DJ Harvery.
His next offering will be an EP released on Prins Thomas Internasjonal label.

We are very pleased to welcome the very talented Aggelos Baltas to our series, although you may know him through the following names: Anatolian Weapons, Dream Weapons and Fantastikoi Hxoi.

Aggelos is originally from Greece and has been producing music and making mixes for many years. He released music on Beats in Space, Dark Entries, Les Yeux Orange, Lurid, Kame House, Serenades. He is a master of production for all kinds of sounds, allowing him the ability to create incredible music pieces such as acid, slow dark trance...

He is currently resident DJ at Bios and Astro Bar, both located in his home town of Athens.

Anatolian Weapons is a very hyperactive DJ/ producer always working in new projects.

Dancing Dolphins is back with a new session, this time by the talented Gela. Julia musical journey began in Murcia in 2003, and since then has been continually imbued with the musical influences of the different corners of the world to which she’s travelled. It’s no wonder disco, cosmic funk, Brazilian music, acid house, dark 80s new wave, low bpm techno, electro, ambient and 90s breaks all co-inhabit in her sets. In 2013 she settled in Madrid, where she reunited with Madame Excuse, friend and likeminded DJ with whom she formed Iguana, the project in which they DJ and produce together. Gradually, Gela has carved out a well-deserved place in the Madrid club scene, including a very celebrated residency at Club Berlín, and in recent months she’s greatly expanded her range, playing out in places such as Razzmatazz and Freedonia in Barcelona,About Blank in Berlin, Dabadaba in Donosti, and the Red Light Radio station in Amsterdam.

Delighted to bring you this new mix by Ramūnas aka Midnattssoula! 
Lithuanian and Vilnius-based Midnattssoula is a label owner, DJ, radio host and party entertainer. He runs his own project Where Were We? (@where-were-we) for 4 years now and the show will be hosting its 113th guest this week!

The WWW label has released his fifth release in February, featuring the artist Azole. There's also a remix package coming out in mid-April with remixes from Romain Fx, Endrik Schroeder, Ivan Fabra and Black Feeling.

New mix by Lucas Lago, a Brazilian Dj and Visual Artist. 

"As a Dj my focus is in explore the mutations of dance - or not - music around the globe. This leads me to a wide musical spectrum, ranging from ambient music and jazz, to various strands of synth, balearic, experimental, and electronic music as well.

More than one genre or another, what really guides my sound aesthetic is a sense of nostalgia and strangeness at the same time. Which usually ends up sounding like something that is always fresh. 

It puts me in the middle of the road between the artist and the stage DJ. Just where I like to be.

My musical trajectory is very local. I have been performing in the main events, houses and festivals of this alternative circuit in the 9 years I have been playing.

I also accumulated some passages in important national platforms like Conecct and Alataj and international platforms like Dream Chimney and Gouranga, with a remix track produced in partnership with DJ Maco Maltauro.  

Nowadays I divide myself between my visual work, the gigs that are returning after the drastic pandemic period and the production (a little slow) of new tracks."

Mario Kolonic Pyztek started to DJ 20 years ago. Massively influenced by the flourishing hip hop culture in the beginning but with the arrival of acid house and rave marked an opening of a whole new world of influences. In 1999 he moved to Zagreb where he started working at the 'Multimedia Institute' MAMA. That organisation has influenced his further music development in the best possible manner, being the place where he first started his DJ career.
During all that time Pytzek remained active working as a member of the 'Multimedia Institute "MAMA" where he became part of the MAMATRONIK.
In 2010, Pytzek and his partner Mislav started a record label @burek. "Burek" as being a favorite snack in Croatia, sparked an idea roughly a decade ago when Pytzek and his partner Mislav set goals by releasing music they're so passionate about. Basic idea was to press fat beats and hot electronic club tracks on wax, wrapped in plain white paper and served to music-hungry people all around the world.

Gumar resides in Portland with his small dog and best friend Tomato, where he manages the Bed of Roses label/collective.

Daniele Tomassini is a DJ, music producer and sound composer behind the Feel Fly project. Originally from Perugia (IT), where he still lives and works, Daniele, self-taught, began his musical career as a composer of soundtracks for theatre and film productions, from which came his first international awards.
Co-founder of the Afro Templum party, in 2015 he made his debut with the track called Ls, within the compilation "United Republic of Music" on the italian label Roots Underground, while the following year he released his first EP Same Old Place Vol.1 (2016) on his own label Too Romantic. 
The definition of Feel Fly's sound, is a sound that straddles worlds and eras that are only apparently opposed: Ambient, House and Disco, merged with more acid, balearic and Trancey sounds, finding favour with key figures of a certain European clubbing scene such as Prins Thomas; who released his first official album Syrius (2019) and then the EP Cosmo Cosmo (2022); interspersed with an ep of remixes by Dj Sotofett and Prins Thomas himself, all published on Internasjonal, or Gerd Janson, who recently released his latest work Mediterranean Dreams Part. 1 and Part.2 (2022) on International Feel Recordings (label founded by Mark Barrott). 
After participating in the recent compilation Buena Onda Balearic Beats on the label Hell Yeah!, in the coming months, a new EP is scheduled for release on New Interplanetary Melodies, label of the legendary dj Simona Faraone, label for which, Feel Fly had already appeared as Remixer within the last record of Leo Young, also on NIM (2019).

Seja is based in Brussels and it's resident at Weelde (Rotterdam), where she has her own party called Playin' in the Sand. 
She played around Netherlands and Belgium and also has shows on several radio stations such as @kioskradio or @radiotemponaopara .
Seja drawn towards what she likes to call ‘disco for angry people’. 
With her selection of downtempo burners, everything synth-y, new beat, italo disco or acid house, she takes you back to what we used to think the future would look like. Let your metal heart beat mechanically to whatever bpm will be played.

New mix comes courtesy of Alik Khomiak aka Schmoltz.
The Belarus dj and producer based in Grodno has grown a solid reputation inside the small scene of connoisseurs and diggers through his awesome edits on labels such Bahnsteig23, Duca Bianco or The Very Polish Cut Outs. He also just released an outstanding house cut for local label Estetika on their first compilation, aiding to raise funds for Belarusians who were subjected to repression after the August 9th rigged elections in Belarus. 
I'm very happy to have him on board for this slow paced psychedelic trippy mix!
