An hour of meditative music from 1/2 of Phase Group (the other being 12th Isle alumnus Lo Kindre) and the artist presently known best as Mr TC. It's a perfect distraction from the cold that's finally set in here in Glasgow, but likely as appropriate for commutes and contemplation in whatever corner of the world you find yourself in. Long overdue and we're stoked to host it!

Nowadays she's in Cologne, a molecular biologist and works in research, trying to tackle down secrets of mitochondria, or the main factories of energy in our bodies. While working in the lab, she listens to lots of music, focused and entranced. She started collecting in 1989, but only plays in public since 2019. Aside she's also a photographer, hoarding cameras from the 80s or older, and mostly interested in capturing timeless moments. Whenever she wakes up, she needs 2 hours on her own. And she's a real proper coffee freak, bad one gets her all itchy and scratchy.

After a crazy intro, the mix takes off and swallows you up, before spitting you out. A deliciously dubby and intergalactic concoction, a fearlessly atmospheric blend, groovy, delay-laden, quirky, stargazing. Eyes wide shut.....

Delighted to host @macadam-mambo  Influence Mix on Oddity Radio.

@mzkbx : I needed a bit of reflexion to conceive it, because it’s about influences and I have so many that it’s not possible to put everything together. Actually it is but it would result in a big cornelian dilemma and I wanted something coherent that fits with the label… 

In the end I decided to take a track from every record labels that I admire and which were influential for me and Macadam Mambo, a kind of hommage. It ends with « Macadam Massacre » by the Bérurier Noir which influenced half of the name of the label.

The next instalment in the Phase Group Mix series is delivered by dear friend and contributing artist to the label, Low Bat. 

Low Bat lives amongst the black coal hills of northern France. When he isn’t marking textbooks and exposing Neue Deutsche Welle to the classrooms, the French DJ, musician and teacher keeps himself busy playing with his band Jean Luc, co-running the Yellow Light of Death festival and curating radio as 1/3 of the team behind Tblisi’s Mutant Radio. 

On top of this, he makes up 1/2 of Lowspace, the newest additions to Phase Group, who’s split tape with Lostsoundbytes will be coming out in December

His Phase Group Mix is a masterfully sequenced mad ride through post punk, psych rock, French trip hop, and proto trance. Thanks Louis!
