Christopher Ledger is the second guest of our In Focus series, right ahead of his first showing at Platforma Wolff on 12.11.2022.

Whether it's his slick accomplished studio work or his natural skills behind the booth, Christopher Ledger does both quite well. A humble but talented artist, dedicated to his craft and with a keen sense for different shades of music, he has already amassed stand-out releases on Amphia, Meander, Brouqade and collaboratios on DIAL and Sushitech; not to mention his own imprint, CL Series.

His DJ sets are known to be eclectic in their nature whilst stacked with unknown jams, much coveted unreleased tracks and sown together with unobvious classics creating a journey for listeners altogether filled with an array of vivid sounds.

Still somewhat of a slight unknown quantity despite already having played dance floors around the world, this music collector with a refined taste in selection and killer DJ sense is soon to become a household name.

Regardless, Andu Simion is not at all a newcomer in the minimal stage. Mostly known for its activity within the different projects, Andu has contributed with singles for various EPs of incremental minimal labels and has developed multiple collaborative projects during his career. However, every time he surprises with a playful selection of compositions that is supposed to mimic a trip through the night, body, space and time. 

As one third of the Lisière Collectif, Andu Simion learned early and often how to take a dancefloor on a hypnotic, grooving journey throughout the night. Andu comes from the outskirts of Ploiești, Romania and you can hear the industrial side of the city in his sound. It’s safe to say that, while clearly being inspired by the Romanian minimal movement, he has crafted his own particular style: a deep, if maybe just a little acid-infused journey that has landed him a very nice releases on Atipic and Atipic Lab, Priku’s labels.

He’s also half of A Dublu or Anduli projects and a well-established member of the rominimal scene with numerous releases on nice labels such as Palinoia, Polen, Particular, Cueva Records, Diffuse Reality, Insound Recordings or Cakeman.

@lenzyak-yaroslav was born in the coastal resort town of Novaya Kakhovka, southern Ukraine. Solar energy, which permeated the atmosphere of those places, could not but affect the development of Yaroslav's creative talents. School years became the starting point in comprehending the art of music. Getting a musical education in his youth played a role in the producer's skill. A fascinating episode from the life of Yaroslav. When mobile phones with the function of creating ringtones were common, many friends received original ringtones. With the move to the city of Mykolaiv, in 2006, work began on the creation of electronic music. It is here that the professional career of a DJ develops. Since 2008, the active creative activity of the DJ begins. Thanks to the desire and ability to experiment with sounds, we hear in his work a sweet symbiosis of various styles of electronic music. Tracks and remixes regularly get into many compilations and get the support of famous DJs from all over the world.

He dreamt that he was flying around from flower to flower and while he was dreaming he felt free, blown about by the breeze hither and thither. He was quite sure that he was a butterfly. But when he awoke he realised that he had just been dreaming, and that he was really Chuang Tzu dreaming he was a butterfly. But then Chuang Tzu asked himself the following question: "was I Chuang Tzu dreaming I was a butterfly or am I now really a butterfly dreaming that I am Chuang Tzu?"
