See Blue Audio reaches its landmark fiftieth release with the welcome return of Lyli J and her album ‘Majjie’. This will be the fourth full-length album of her career and the second for See Blue Audio following ‘Micro Wanders’ released in May 2022. Nearly two years on, ‘Majjie’ builds and expands on the ideas of its predecessor and creates a musical tapestry that evokes the power of mountains, mystery and magic, and heralds the arrival of spring, while also remaining deeply personal and heartfelt in the way Lyli J brings to all her music. The album is a complete entity in its own right, of course, but the addition of three remixes from kindred artists bring further dimensions of audio expression and emotional energy to the project.‘

Majjie’ is her own creative phonetic spelling of ‘magie’ – the word for magic in French – and it is dedicated to the breathtaking landscapes of the Alps and how hyperreal they can appear to the naked eye (she lives in the French countryside outside Grenoble). This nine-track collection takes the form of a stream of consciousness and was born in summer of 2022 while preparing for a live show at the Hadra Trance Festival. Some tracks, such as ‘Tide’ and ‘Ouh’, Lily imagined as being performed in a hot desert-like setting with just a guitar; then as autumn and the colder months arrived, she added a serene, calming glue to these more extroverted tracks with deep soundscapes like ‘Chaconne’ and ‘Fountain of You’.

A little over a year since my 2-track release simply named 'Glacial Reverie', I am thrilled to present you a 6-track EP featuring four immersive reinterpretations of the 2 dreamy, vocal-infused tracks 'North Star' and 'Phoenix'.

Including my own uptempo remix of 'North Star', cole's intricate rendition of 'Phoenix', Heft's club version of 'North Star' and Darbinyan's recreation of 'Phoenix' rising from its ashes, 'Glacial Reverie EP' truly bridges the realms of IDM, ambient, techno and indie dance - right on time before the spring equinox melts the winter away.

Originally inspired by the myriad frozen peaks and glowing horizons of the Alps, 'Glacial Reverie EP' will make you rediscover the original songs through a burst of colors and emotions.

“Everywhere + Nowhere” is my first live album. This 2-hour set has been split into 22 distinct tracks—and as a bonus, when you purchase the album, you’ll also receive the full, continuous mix as a single file.

I originally prepared this live set for Hadra Trance Festival this summer. When I returned home, I recorded it in my studio. Many of the tracks have already been released—including the two remixes I created for Rhombus Index—but for me, the true gold of this album lies elsewhere: in the field recordings, the ephemeral transitions, the fragile fragments of vocals, the unfinished emotions woven throughout.

I wanted to honor the imperfections—the noise, the crackles, the raw textures. No autotune. No excessive cleanup of frequencies. Just letting the elements breathe exactly as they are.

I spent many hours digging and weaving together sounds of the natural world: water, frogs, wind, fire, whispers, conversations… Sometimes these recordings soar boldly over the music, louder than I’m used to. This mix is noisier than anything I’ve ever released—but that’s exactly the point. I wanted to push myself past my own limits, to grow, and to embrace the beauty in imperfection.

Turn Off The Clock (Deep & Mystical DJ Set)

I finally post here a recording from the Ethereal Decibel Festival 2023! 
I may replace this audio with the 90min version when I get the chance.

This was a 5am set, so it was definitely out of my comfort zone to set up in the dark, after a sleepless night and carrying all my equipment around for the 12 hour trip (that damn guitar can be so heavy), so the result is not as clean as what I make in my cozy studio setup, but I will cut myself some slack. Regardless, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I thank the festival organizers and Arnaud who booked me. Also, what a beautiful stage the Nest is! 

I hope to be back soon with a deep slow techno act next time...! ∞

In LYLI’s music, the lowest keys on the piano resonate within the abyss surrounded by the deepest sea-sound textures you will hear in organic techno. 

Through live recordings of various soundscapes, she transposes her fascination for all elements of nature - particularly water - to the exploration of their sounds. 

Her cello and elusive vocals bind with these elements to take you on a voyage accompanied by an underwater orchestra.

I feel blessed to have been able to play such a unique venue.

Lyli J (“Lily Jay”) is a French-American sound designer, musician, and composer with a nomadic and multicultural background. 

Passionate about nature, she weaves organic field recordings with deep techno, ambient, trip-hop, and warm tones of folk. Her sound is anchored in intricate IDM grooves, spinning a hypnotic web beneath ethereal melodies - to be enjoyed in open, natural spaces. 

In her vinyl DJ sets, she enjoys exploring and harmonizing a wide spectrum between electronica, neoclassical, and minimal techno.
