Afghanistan and the World are our concerns these days.
I usually toss and turn each morning with a "song echoing' in my brain;
Last week it was the one I was working on with Adriano;
Today it was this one, hard to find, by FredGold & LyndaFaye ten years
ago...How Sad for the whole world this Afghanistan situation has become!
Surely the good aspects and fighters for the preservation of humanity are becoming exhausted!

So many of you on Soundcloud have come to listen to our song that I feel is my  sort of subconscious, underlying "interpretation" of the concept  of  " Seasons."

This  song was written years ago with a  childhood friend  of mine, whom had  later moved from Moline, Illinois, to Garden Grove, California.  She was planning on  getting married at the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm dedicating this TO Karen Jean Olsen, as when she heard the chorus, her immediate reaction was, "Oh, Thank God- I am so tired of the "Here Comes the Bride" song! She and Roger were to be married way back in the late seventies, but the Piper Plane, three seater crashed into a ten-thousand-foot mountain.  The story even became weirder, as I was invited to accompany them on that flight, and couldn't.  

Karen came to me in a dream that morning, with the lyrics to the song " Flyin' in the Morning."  We dedicated that one later to our military.    Karen's Obituary is on line; true story. I always promised I'd record this "for her" , but I am the Master Procrastinator. 

REST IN PEACE, KAREN,
And as she said in he dream, "Don't be sad, I've been flyin' all along anyway!"

Miracle (A Walk Down The Aisle) The Wedding Song

Much like (as when) Adriano finished the instrument track for "My Dear Lord", this was so exciting and interesting, I again had difficulty singing the final. But I think Adriano's Arrangement  as an arrangement without voice, deserves to "be out there!". Again, I, myself, hear the fifty piece orchestra with trumpets blaring; but then, all in HIS divine timing.

Back when people respected honesty and clarity, we were listening to those protest songs by Judy and Joan, those who survived the pressure; Back then producers used to say, "If you can't make your point with one guitar and a microphone, you have no point to MAKE! Now, they say" anything goes for the money!" ANYTHING! Wait 'til the grid goes and people have to communicate more "personally" again? Us old hippies and the Amish will have it altogether! IF people could "slow their pressured lives down" and actually "listen" again, without having to be BLASTED by electronics? The lack of "strong drugs" might have helped too! She and Joan Baez are both still going strong! FORGET the guitar! Judy Collins could sing acapella and keep the crowd amazed! Besides, it's the CAPO she's using that causes the strings to loosen, requiring adjustments. The time that talent becomes how loudly one can scream into a microphone while disrobing for views, will soon dissipate, and quality will survive. Judy could have used her voice range to become a famous opera singer-but she kept to her standards. Love to hear her " Amazing Graze" over and over. "With Judy Collins & Joan Baez in Mind, "Why War?" "Time Goes By" and "Praying for Afghanistan"& "The Great Awakening.

Anti war sentiments found as one of Fred Gold's ROUGHS. All tracks  were crammed in together, so I can't change the singer's voice!
But resurrecting a HAPPY TUNE ROUGH that Fred and I were trying to do,
made me feel more hopeful, than uploading another unrequited love songs, duh! Thanks for asking-if you ant to play with a WAV and repair it for us. Fred's no longer putting songs on his computer and I'm off to educating the children again! (Honey, the Introduction is on You Tube.)

Crazy, to Want to Come Back, Again!

Lynda Faye and Fred Gold, together, formed the Illinois Harmony Connection, at SoundClick, and You Tube. Fred's in Illinois, Lynda in CA, so all of our music duos etc were prepared in CyberSpace, thanks to Audacity! I'm apparently an alto and a soprano-But I attended Pepperdine College on a violin scholarship, and also gave opera a shot, but I gave up on performing it! Allot of my songs are cross-overs, I realize that----Country-Gospel, Classical-Folk, along with a few comical songs. I'm a classical violinist at heart, but taught myself enough guitar with a few great influences advising me here and there (which you can hear on some of my solos!) Ben Benay wanted to teach me some arranging techniques, but I didn't have the tenacity; He said if I didn't study classical guitar, I'd never be able to write more than country folk;Guess he was right, but then the violin influence stepped in- when he heard  my humming of the violin parts, he said, "Lynda, you ARE an arranger ?" ; Paula Drake tried too, for a few years, and she's in her 80's a still goin' strong!  but I kept continuing to plug away at the writing!I had to edit this, sadly, as classmate Fred Gold (Railsback) lost his beloved wife, Ella May, last August. I'm trying to encourage him to keep at that guitar; but I'm sure he's not much in the mood; We dedicated "Ella's Garden", the song we're recorded a few years ago, as Ella's memory -as the video on "I Wanna go Back" was filmed IN Ella's back yard garden, and the song has now taken on special meaning to both of us. Won't be a "replacement for" Fred, but I found both Adriano Fontana's versatility and guitar expertise, and "Ancolies" singing a few of my songs in French for me. Won't be easy to find! I'm seeking to find some competent "versatile" musicians (and composers) who love children and have hopes for music in future generations, and perhaps a strong History Buff, to help with several children's musicals. I welcome other singers to sing my originals---My goal has never been to "be" a great singer; but to connect appropriate singers TO some of my songs: All three genres. My Folky MOR album is "Movin' On" at CDBaby. , I've "been there done that-nite clubs, Holiday Inn lounges from Ca. to Pennsylvania; I refused the Vegas offers! (too much writing to do!)  A songwriter's "Job", like most housewives...is never done, now, is it ?
Pls see the attitude of most of them who are married TO, some of those songwriters, in the "Songwriters' Serenade", or, as I'm always having difficulty finding "concise" titles...." All You Got is Words!" Some of my folky-country is on my album at CDBaby, titled "Movin On"...and I am currently trying to assemble twenty songs for " Friends, Love Songs and Heartaches." Seems viewers liked the " remakes" of the Oldies-I attribute that to Adriano's working his way in and out and around my Acapella tracks, I sent to him; I'm not easy to work with because I have trouble keeping "consistent  rhythms' . Of course Adrian has a word in Italian for that. Maybe HE should solo on a few of my songs and I'll back him on guitar; Course those would then become comedy, yes Adriano ?
