For nearly 3 years I feel I have been led by the Holy Spirit to help heal this nation, to replace the political corruption of the parties that divide us into red conservatives, white moderates, or blue liberals by allowing us to by-pass the party system and recognize that we Americans are red, white AND blue:
   We are fiscal conservatives because we know it's our civic duty to spend public funds wisely, but we aren't doing that now.
   We are social moderates because we know it's our moral duty to help those in need, but not to be patsies for the lazy and corrupt.
   We are environmental liberals because we know it's our sacred duty to protect God's creation and preserve it for future generations, but how do we balance these duties?

I think most Americans recognize that no matter who we vote for we keep headed for bigger government and bigger spending, with fewer liberties and freedoms.  We recognize we are selling ourselves and our children into the slavery of debt.  So what can we do?  CHANGE GOVERNMENT BY CHANGING THE WAY WE VOTE!

Our political system was NOT mandated by the US Constitution; it's merely a tradition born at a time when most people were illiterate peasants so "noble" men were chosen to make governance decisions for them.  So why continue to elect thick skinned, manipulative, power hungry politicians to make decisions for us?  Why not change the order of steps in which a bill becomes a law--write short and simple bills FIRST that solve our biggest problems in ways everyone can understand and most of us can agree with?  Then vote for candidates who sign a contract to ONLY vote for these pre-written bills each election cycle.  Only bills We the People understand and approve will pass into law, and politics will be taken out of the position of representative.

I call this idea VoteKISS--Vote to Keep It Short and Simple.  I spent the last few years researching what most Americans want changed in their government, but no self-serving politician would vote for because they severely reduce their power.  I used my technical writing skills to write bills that balance the 3 duties in ways that can unite us as a people behind them.  I stepped out in faith and got on the ballot in Vermont for US Senator, and my son for US House.  I use only free media and social networking as my campaign tools.  When in despair I realized that most states have severe requirements to even get on the ballot, God helped me realize that VoteKISS can even by-pass ballot access so every voter in the US can vote FOR the VoteKISS bills this November (watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFFGTsHA5Tg&feature=plcp ) 

You can read the draft bills by going to www.votekiss.org.  The 3 major issues and their VoteKISS solutions are:
   Government reform via a US Constitutional Amendment with TEN major updates--6 are targeting political corruption.
   Healthcare reform by replacing Obamacare with a short and simple solution that leaves patients in charge of their healthcare budget and medical decisions.
   Tax reform by replacing the income tax with the Fairtax, a national retail sales tax on NEW goods and services--BUYERS pay taxes, savers do not.

Please spread the word about VoteKISS.  I believe God's hand was on my shoulder as I researched and found a way to unite this country by focusing on what duties we share, rather than on opinions we don't.  

I feel like David with a slingshot facing Goliath; but David had faith and so do I!  Let's change government to be sensible, solvent, and responsive simply by changing the way we vote!
