Description: This is the second of two pieces on the EP which I used a photo as a starting point for. The photo is of a metal panel on the side of a warehouse, the panel had rusted in a beautiful pattern and to me it almost looked like it could've been painted. I again took the literal route with the piece of music which I wrote and tried to create an interpretation of what corrosion might sound like.

So happy to announce that Oscillate Mix # 41 is provided by Katia aka Katiusha. It is a brilliant showcase of Katia’s vast knowledge about the more leftfield crevices of electronic music. The London-born DJ and radio host has established a versatile profile in the Berlin scene since moving here in 2017. Her radio show “Above The Clouds” on Cashmere explores various physical and emotional connections to different cloud formations by soundtracking them with the help of friends and guest DJs. On the other hand Katiusha loves a good rave and can provide an equally fitting soundtrack to your 140bpm+ club experience. Katia has had appearances on NTS radio, Rinse and is a regular guest on various mix series throughout the web. This mix escorts you slowly from the depth and darkness of Koehler’s - Destroying Angels via Lurka’s bass-heavy - Clean to faster landscapes provided by Heritage and Sibilant. The last third of the mix briefly dives deeper into funkier club sounds, swings back to the body shaking Ctrls Remix of Anastasia Kristensen’s - Volshebno only to land smoothly in the safe arms of Jex Opolis’ - Instant Ocean. Premiere: Konduku - Rosenmeer [PTNX01]

The next guest edition of PAIJATA comes from @sofia-sanseverino aka Akï, a producer and DJ, and all sorts of other things based in Berlin, here to inject a streak of sunshine fun into your Jan Blues. 

We bumped into each other in OXI and ended up chatting for hours about all sorts, and it became quickly apparent we had a fairly similar approach to sound and dance music. Akï's selections here show a predilection for fun and moving rhythms, while still paying attention to the ambient by-line of the show.

You might have caught Akï playing in Berlin, London and Rome, and, now you know, you'll be sure to catch the upcoming EP for Trip The Light records...
