In 1936, amidst the Great Palestinian Revolt, the British Mandate sought to sever communication channels between rebels and villages. 
In response, women devised the Tarwida, a method of encoding news through singing by reversing letters or the last letter of each word. 
This allowed them to convey messages, including secrets of love and war, to passing revolutionaries. 
The use of the Tarwida persisted beyond the Nakba and the Palestinian revolution, as camp residents continued to speak it fluently to keep their conversations unintelligible. Encrypted narratives found their way into Palestinian songs, serving as a poignant reminder of the intricate details of the Palestinian cause and its history.

Minimal Impulse

Syrian experimental A/V artist and sound artist who kicked started her career as a bassist in a rock band called Karma and they performed in Syria as the first female rock band in the country. 
Now she is based in Austria where she performs as a Techno DJ & Electronic Producer.
In DJ-sets and Live sets she plays lots of tracks groovy techno sounds combined with dark-psy twist.
In producing she is distinguished by using raw and playful synths and other digital and analog instruments.
She performed in many different countries and festivals like HaselHort - Berlin & Traumtänzer - Munich, Beirut Amsterdam, Linz, Madrid, Serbia, & Hungary.
