This track has had a special place in my heart since it first released years ago in BT's grammy-nominated album, These Hopeful Machines. A pioneer such as BT meeting with one of the most impeccable and angelic vocals in Dance, JES, was bliss waiting to happen. These two have put together a track that not only is beautiful in its musical composition, but in the palpable lyrics that accentuate and define Every Other Way.

I wanted to go beyond a "typical remix" for this one. I've spent the last 3 weeks working on this and not limiting myself to what's traditional. I didn't go into it thinking "I can only make it this long" or "'CHECK OUT THE DROP AND SAY IT'S EPIC'". It was done when it was done. I just wanted to make a beautiful piece of music that honors the original, while, of course, having my interpretation shine and differentiate. I wanted something that not only caused a reminiscence of the original, but one that could also be fresh and DJ friendly.

I imagined a story while writing this remix. Closer to the end you'll notice an "over-the-telephone effect" while strings staccato and pianos arpeggiate to make it seem as if a couple is talking about the future of their relationship. The music intensifies, and your imagination interprets the rest. Later on you'll notice the "telephone effect" fade and go back to normal, as if the two meet again. 

That's just me though. Everyone perceives art differently.

BT & JES - Every Other Way (LyonHart Remix)

With a wave of genre blending bands propping up, it was only matter of time before one geared toward hard rock emerged. David Draiman of the iconic band Disturbed and former Filter member Geno Lenardo decided to combine their influences and start Device. Through a fusion of hard rock, industrial and electronica, the band's music stands apart, and they've recently released their debut album Device on Warner Brothers Records.

LyonHart takes a new route approaching remix duties for this remix, stepping away from Trance and entering the realm of Drum & Bass. Fusing elements of Metal, Drum & Bass, and Dubstep, LyonHart's remix has an adrenaline-filled atmosphere sure to take you to new heights.

The sounds that you hear are not just synthetic or artificial. They are not just a couple of buttons pressed down over a span of time. This American producer from North Carolina, LyonHart, wants every string, every crash, every kick, every build, and every break to tell a story from beginning to end, with each piece of sound configured to convey exactly what he feels.

As an artist, LyonHart has the Trance genre as his weapon of choice: "Trance isn't just something I listen to and produce. It is something I will perpetually breathe, live and have a passion for.
