Lyons is is bassist, composer, producer and teacher that bounces between sound art, world music, contemporary classical and popular music. He has toured Australia playing festivals in rock and jazz groups as well as performing with tap dancers and live poetry. Patrick has studied with composers, sound artists and improvisers from non-western traditions but has now turned his attention to studying double bass within the western art music tradition with a focus on Australian art music, experimental improvisation and electronics.
