With the first EP of the year; we are so excited to be releasing the debut ‘Sentience’ EP from producer and DJ @Soundpalette. The young beatmaker and guitarist from Maryland, USA has been heavily championed by Future Beats Radio for the past year. After releasing his single 'The Underground' (bit.ly/1L4UXpu) in Autumn of last year; Soundpalette has been featured on several compilations including Play It Louder, SVNSET WAVES & more. He has garnered radio support from Future Bounce, Darker Than Wax Radio and First Ear with his original productions and urban remixes which are renowned for featuring throwback artists such as B2K, Kevin Lyttle, T.I & Justin Timberlake.

Soundpalette is also one half of the duo, Congruence along with the very talented ESCPE, who makes up the other side to the moniker that both young producers have used most when playing live. Their immediate chemistry after studying the Recording Industry at college lead to the creation of this side project.

The EP begins with the enormous atmosphere of ‘Cloudbound’, which acts as a whirling intro into the sounds of ‘Sentience’. Once the track flings you into space; bask in the welcome of  the deep piano chords of ‘Flow’ and feel the complements of the lush vocal harmonies and a tight bassline. The EP takes a whole new direction when the haunting guitar chords meet a laid-back groove led by unique percussions in ‘Mist’. The penultimate track ‘Soulitude’ take sensual feelings to a whole new level, as the smooth vocals, spacey synth work, and massive drumbeat combine to produce something truly special from the soul. The lead single ‘Diamonds & Pearls’ closes off the EP with a perfect blend of pitched vocals, arps, choirs, rolling hi-hats, massive synth layers, and a breakbeat conclusion.

Conceptually, Sentience is defined as the ability to experience sensations. This renowned idea of philosophy is an old metaphysical concept, even correlating to the first (root) chakra, which governs the initial awareness of experience. The debut EP is just a glimpse of what is to come from Soundpalette in the future. The experience starts here....
