GrrreatCast 048 - Mahar (CA)  [own productions only]

We're happy to welcome Mahar, a Canadian-Moroccan DJ/Producer based in Montreal! 

At the end of 2019, @m-a-h-a-r decided to pursue his passion for music by creating his own tracks. During the pandemic, he occupied his free time on producing, which allowed him to sign his first record label contract in the beginning of the year 2021.

The UK-based label, SHUVT.Resonance, enjoyed Mahar’s production style and ended up releasing with him 10 tracks. Among those releases, his track « Velocity », from the Magnetism EP [SHVT003], was appreciated by artists such as Paolo Rocco, Luuk Van Dijk and Lola Palmer.

During the fall of 2022, Mahar released his deep minimal track « Two Birds One Stone » with a label from Belgium: Perception Records (BE).

Coming up this year, Mahar will have several releases coming on All Blak Records (CA). In the next few weeks, his track « Arenal » will come out on the Canadian label, part of a Various Artists release.

MAHAR @ Maze, Brussels x Perception Records | Oct. [2023]

Mahar, a DJ/Producer from Montreal, moved to London, UK, where he's working on new music. He first gained attention in March 2021 with his releases on the SHUVT.resonance label and has since worked with other labels in Brussels and Toronto. His debut EP, "Magnetism [SHVT003]", was well-received, especially the track "Velocity".

Recently, he won a Minimal production challenge judged by notable figures in the music industry. Mahar is also involved with the RAWMoments crew in Montreal, managing and doing A&R for Paolo Rocco's label. 

He's created a mix of Minimal, Deep, Groovy, and Cosmic sounds, including his own tracks, for a one-hour listening experience for you to enjoy.
