French live Techno outfit Möd3rn debuts on Rekids’ Rekids Special Projects sibling label with the Far South EP, with part one landing 28th March 2025.

The group, whose current members include artists Electric Rescue, Kmyle, and Moteka, drop Tension first—bodied drums swinging down low while alien signals increase in intensity above. The artists follow up with title track Far South, in which jagged rhythm melds with restless stab sequences before shadowy dance cut Melancolysea overlays transcendental melodies over a dark and snaking bassline for mind-melting trippage.

Founded in 2013 by Maxime Dangles, Traumer, and Skryptöm label boss Electric Rescue, Möd3rn has grown into a notable live hardware act with a long list of releases on their eponymous Möd3rn Records label. Though Maxime Dangles and Traumer have now moved on from the project, Mord and COD3 QR artist Kmyle and Skryptöm regular Moteka have both joined Electric Rescue since. Up next we invite French live supergroup Möd3rn. Möd3rn is the alliance between two experienced french producers, Electric Rescue (best known as head master of french techno label Skryptöm records) and Maxime Dangles (sound wizard and former pillar of Kompakt records ), and two uprising french talents Moteka (the skillful producer from Skryptöm and Children of Tomorrow records) and : Kmyle (who distinguished himself with his acclaimed releases on Skryptöm and Clergy). 

The four expert producers merge into a unique entity, with techno music as their only goal. The common musical passion leads the group, where individual personalities are shadowed by the resulting ethereal and synthetic aesthetic. 

There are no rules, and the whole project lies on improvisation, where each member’s sounds - subtle keys, cosmic drones, subterranean rumbles and rhythmical bursts - blend into a devastating maelstrom, combining Paris multiple underground influences with last decade’s best avant-garde cacophonies.

The obtained result is irresistible, ecstatic and contemporary, and explores all of techno’s incredible diversity and dynamism. 

Fate has brought the four partners together to celebrate their mutual friendship by improvising as a unique polymorphic creature powered by the urge to dance and the passion for music, resulting in their eponym label’s releases. 

Mod3rn is currently celebrating their 10th release : "Trabeos10 EP" and offer today 1h30 of live recording from their latest session at Rex Club, Paris on May 17th 2019.

Biography :
Born out of a deep friendship in 2013, Möd3rn was established as a live act channeling the raw energy of techno through pure improvisation. The project was initially founded by Electric Rescue, later joined by Maxime Dangles and Traumer. Eventually, Kmyle and Moteka joined the ensemble. Together, they transcend individual artistry to create a shared musical experience, where every performance becomes a unique journey into the organic and instinctive sounds of techno.

The essence of Möd3rn lies in the synergy of its members, each bringing their unique talents.  Electric Rescue, a pivotal figure in the French rave scene and the visionary behind Skryptöm, along with Moteka and Kmyle, contribute to a collective force that thrives on collaboration rather than competition. Although Maxime Dangles and Traumer have since moved on to other artistic pursuits, their contributions have left behind a lasting legacy and a resilient, innovative foundation for the group.

With over a decade of experience. At the core of Möd3rn is their live performance, the heart of the project. Their sound is a blend of raw yet nuanced energy—a pulsating maelstrom that captures the essence of techno with both intensity and subtlety. Every performance is entirely improvised, as the group connects an array of machines—synthesizers, drum machines, computers, effect pedals, modular setups—into a large analog mixing board, creating an unfiltered and spontaneous techno experience. This approach allows them to interact directly with their audience, crafting unique moments in clubs and festivals that are unrepeatable and born in the moment.

From the intimate setting of the Rex Club to the expansive stages of international festivals, Möd3rn’s journey is one of exploration and expression. Their performances transport audiences into a world where the boundaries of techno are continuously pushed and redefined. Central to their identity is their record label, through which they release albums that reflect their collective vision.
