First Time Around 2013

MDot, Ramotsho Ramokoka, by name is a talented producer/rapper from Soweto. He is the core and Executive Producer of Seventh Era. With a good and traceable record. His natural talent was pioneered by his never-ending passion for Hip Hop music which later developed into a desire for tapping into different fields of production. MDot is a genius of Seventh Era, alongside brother Lassie Ramokoka who masterminded the foundation of the empire with his musical prowess.  His passion for Hip Hop started at age 12,surrounded by a musically inspired family, as his interest was to spit more than rhymes. Furthermore, he was inspired when he was attending high school at St Endas secondary seeing kids rap during school  breaks. His first appearance  at Yfm was when he was 15 in 2002 at Lee Kasumba and Bad Boy T’s show. Which then became an Inspiration that led him to getting his first airplay in 2005.2006 Mdot went on to do performances which got him the credibility and earned him the coverage in Hype Magazine April /May issue.Due to disagreements with former group members his collaboration mixtape with C-Live of Club 808 and Raven MC was unsuccessful.

His biggest breakthrough was when he guest appeared in DJ Dino Bravo’s Mixtape Bravo Mania with a track called Umqomboti produced by D-Rex, in 2007 which was re-released in 2008. The song became a hit record in the album alongside many features from popular acts (Skwatta Kamp to mention a few). MDot came from the  Battle MC days where rappers had to earn their street credibility by slaying other contestants with their lyrical wordplay and shrewd metaphors so coming up wasn’t easy as he had to go through many big competitions known today hosted by great acts( MC Africa). 2009 he was invited to join the digital distribution hosted by CellC and Vodacom’s mubiox.mobiwhich later became  a rather unsuccessful campaign. Refusing to succumb to musical exploitation from major labels MDot turned down a proposal from D-rex and Kabelo of TKZ alongside the legendary Paragon and mighty DJ Fire currently at Soweto TV . MDot released various independent mixtapes namely,All Hell Breaks Loose Touch, Tytan,and M.O.Force(with former group members Devoted&ill);Crytical EffeQ;Jungle Of Intelligence ;Dicktators&Assasins ;10Bars;Success Vs Wisdom; One Man A Million Orchestras(theme music & project); Theory Of The Soul;TheTree of Life Project hosted by Pamela Weston , a popularly known humanitarian and Poet from Oaklands California. He also did countless number of appearances onnational and local radio shows hosted bypopular DJ’s and dropped jingles,written and unwritten freestyles.The most popular freestyle he did was in 2005 at the Harambe show hosted by AK Mgaga which earned him respect from Pro and Slikour who had been invited on that day

.MDot formerly known as M.O.Force to his Hip Hop peers was one of a few who shined alongside the Kwesta’s and the Reason’s that we know today, but his main interests where consciousness and awareness beyond glits and glamour. As a producer and rapper with good piano skills looking at his background and growing up in church, He also made a productive contribution  to Proverb’s  2 singles, Tryina Get It and Promode featuring Mode9 from Nigeria Produced by group member Raven MC which was on Proverb’s Writer’s Passage released in 2009.

As a multi-talented producer and rapper, MDot,together with brother Lassie “Laz” Ramokoka made a decision to be registered as a production label known as Seventh Era, which then enforced MDot to refrain from releasing any material.The company proceeded to be an administrator under Sheer publishing. Therefore, the longawaited official release of MDot’s Up Rising will be held back until further notice for the official release of self-titled project MDOT "MY DELIVERY ON TREK".
