The tracks on this release explore turbulence and desolation: mental, physiological, spiritual. They survey aftermaths, eulogising lost bliss and tattered memories. ‘Immaculate’ is a slow-motion shudder, the deeply held steadying breath that precedes numbness. It’s free-flowing and fluid, an ebb and flow of luminous shards and flickering embers reflected in pitch-black water. ‘The Bloody Entrails’ sears like an ice burn. The piece’s intermeshing string passages produce a haunted, shellshocked texture evoking darkening eyes and quivering hands. This is damaged music, shadowy and uneasy—a slow-dawning awareness of error and consequence. Alive but fractured, conscious but sullied.

This instalment the TANK mix series features @Dasychira (pronounced /ˈdah.see.kira/), an artist based in New York City. Currently throwing event nights with collective UNSEELIE. Immersed in the creative chaos of the city, Dasychira crafts sonic-worlds that capture their experiences of everyday fantasy. Their two records, Immolated and Haptics were released on Falty DL's Blueberry Records in 2017 and 2018. In the summer, Dasychira embarked on an international tour of Europe and Canada after the release of Haptics. Dasychira is currently working on their debut LP and collaborating on music with Embaci.
