LA-based producer Ole Mic Od returns to Kri Records and crashes electro traditions into gloomy post-punk aesthetics. The result is six filthy tunes of menacing vocoders, murky pads and distorted acid that go from 2 AM clinched-teeth-madness to punishing slow burners that will bump a 64 Pontiac Lowrider. 

Available as limited lathe-cut vinyl and digitally on 15th of March 2024.

VA - Robot Connection #001 [Electro Music Coalition // EMC V016]

On the 16th vinyl release from ELECTRO MUSIC COALITION, Robot Connection #001, an international lineup of producers comes together: the owner of the Orbital Mechanics record label, Maltese artist Sound Synthesis; the Belgian composer Arsonist Recorder (@arsonistrecorder), known for running ZwaarteKracht Records; and two members of the EMC label team, Neonicle (@neonicle) and sin:it:sin (@sin-it-sin).
The compilation follows a unified concept, but let's break it down track by track.

Physical Reality kicks off with a deep ambient groove reminiscent of Brian Eno’s work. It evolves into a classic and precise rhythmic layer, with bass pad textures featuring vibrato effects and sudden breaks in the lead synthesizer’s themes. Secondary parts, including a 303 and noise elements, round off the overall pensive and dark motif, setting the initial tone for the entire collection.

The compilation is infused with a dark technological mood, which results in two main strengths: the sound both energizes and evokes a lyrical mood that runs as a constant throughout the entire collection. Each track offers a unique perspective on the theme, collectively creating a complete ELECTRO trip.

Look who built our 40th mix: Re/Act. 
Based in Athens, he is an absolute linchpin for the underground scene there. He does parties with Unnatural Acts, has a radio show on Fade Radio called Poisoned Wells and has hard hitting productions on Dystatik and Negative Sciences.

Mostly he plays and produces dark electronics and EBM influenced music, but also shares with us the love for synthwave from earlier times - his mix for us is a special edition in this sense: 
80s synthwave and postpunk, especially from Greece and Yugoslavia.

DTP#40 - Re/Act

A tribute to Rutger Hauer and the movie Blade Runner, ending with a monologue often seen as one of the finest in cinema's history. It's Rutger himself, the actor, that modified the original scenario to produce that final death soliloquy (the exact final sentence was : all those moments will be lost "in time" like tears in rain, shortened here for musical purpose). Rutger died in july 2019, 3 mounths before the date on wich his character of the replicant died in the movie after saying this sentence, recorded 37 years before.

Atmospheric patterns and hazy synths get irritated by off-kilter Breaks which praise the unconventional. Focussing on experimentation this EP embraces imperfections and challenges the norms of listeners.
