You would think by now that numbers would be null and void but what about in twenty years when people are trying to search for this mix on the 'future net' or their google fridge or even on their 'smart belt', whatever the future holds is irrelevant to the now, but we must associate a number with a name, in this case, it's number 15 and the name attached is the one and only Andy Garvey, aka the Sydney based siren aka the electro-static wunderkind aka the Pete Tong of NSW aka DJ wasabi pea. 


With her multi-frequency radio superpowers and ridiculously good DJ skills, she has established herself as one of the cornerstones of Sydney's realm of noise. Through these avenues she has not only carried the flag of high-quality tunes, she has raised it on all angles and continues to do so, fighting the good fight, traveling the country spreading the word of our lord and savior' decent tunes to dance to' 


Her show 'Pure Space' on Sydney's FBI radio has been a shoulder of a good friend for some time now, constantly delivering new music and talent from around the world. (Tip!) but she's also used her powers on triple j to expose the people of Aus to some seriously good music whereas otherwise, they would be none the wiser, I consider her some kind of professor and she lectures every week on the benefits of discovering new music. As well as holding it down as a shit-hot DJ, with her pH.D. in all things electro (insert Latin term for electronic music) 

This mix tho, damn. Nailed the brief (or lack thereof) I'm running out of terms to describe 'a trip' but who cares, it's what it's all about, a story that will never be written, a soundtrack to a movie that will never be made, anyway. A perfectly executed ensemble of different styles and genre's all woven into quilt worthy of your own grandmother. Everything you could ever want in an hour of music, consider it her resume for every job in the job. 

I was lucky enough to play with Andy up in Queensland at Andromeda festival (also tip!) and she blew me bleeding socks off and then out partied me and then left me in a stairwell 7000k's from home. I learned a few things that night, but I've followed Andy's movements since and she has reached legend status and she deserves every bit of it. 

Enough dribble. Go and listen to the mix again and then once more.
