In particular, thank you to all my close friends and family that helped me get done with this project. The Album took me about 3 years to finish and I could not have done it without the people around me. 
It started as a little collection of songs not more than two or three and it kept evolving ever since into something beautiful. Although I was never really satisfied with my work and I kept deleting things and rewriting certain parts I was convinced someday this thing will be finished. Along this journey of making Ateion I lost 2 hard drives with a massive chunk of the song files and the cover art. My laptop got stolen at some point in the year 2021 that included yet again the cover art. Frustrated as I was to get the songs done I recreated a brand new cover for the third time. 
Ateion is a new try for me to get myself out there. I hope everyone listening to the Album finds some kind of enjoyment out of it. Even if it's just the little cutscenes. I can remember back in 2015 I first played with the Idea of an Album that connected perfectly together. Like a sort of story that holds all the songs in one. I was heavily influenced by Artists like Trever something and Com Truis that always used this technique. Trever somethings Album "Trevor Something Does Not Exist" was my first contact with this form of an Album. I loved it and it's still one of my favorite Synthwave Albums of all time. That's why my Album is parted into 3 Arcs. First, the person listening to Ateion goes home from work and wants to play on his PlayStation 2 but some app automatically starts and crashes after the first 3 songs. Then in the second arc he sits in front of his computer. It also gives him errors and he switches to an old radio after a few tracks.
I also liked the idea of an Album that switches genres. I tried to sort of fool the listener with the track ESSEN thinking it would be another drum and bass track. Complete switching the genre in the drop. So connecting my two favorite music genres in my album was my biggest achievement in Ateion.
