While tying this to the cumulative nature of cause and effect that we are either victims or effectors of, the song speaks about being aware of our actions and intentions because life is a spiral and bad days will come, but eventually we will rise above it all and will have grown and earned the peace, joy and love in our lives.

Network Failure is the product of a collaboration between singer-songwriter Tetu Shani, dynamic producer M³ and budding filmmaker Prisca Ojwang'. It is a mellow mid-tempo track with percussive guitars, earnest vocals and an Afro-Carribean feel that describes the frustration of not been able to get through to someone who has decided that they're not yet ready to listen.

24th January 2019

7pm. Tetu Shani; a versatile afro-fusion Kenyan musician, walks into a studio filled with people one evening and asks to get into music production. Only M³ takes him seriously. A couple of minutes later, they are ‘finger punching’ buttons on an Ableton Push controller,
thumping drums that gets the whole room rocking back and forth.

8pm. Wanja Wohoro; an afro-soul singer-songwriter straps a C4 on her shoe sole and bursts through the studio doors like S.W.A.T. She starts playing keys while simultaneously vibing to a melody she’s humming into a microphone.

9pm. Two rappers, Elsaphan Njora &  Sens_ei join in. Collectively, they spread out in the room and shout ‘We Got This’ to the looped beat. Tetu Shani and Wanja build the chorus and bridge and record them. Njoraa &  Abu spit their verses and folks who’d camped at the
bonfire outside start streaming into the studio.

10pm. Somebody whips out a camera and a video is shot. Hectic!
