This is one of the first things I recorded with a Yamaha D-series synthesizer.  I also used a softsyth on my wimpy computer known as Taureg.  I think this is kind of pretty sounding.

Yep, that's a borrowed sitar.  They're incredibly hard and easy to play - if all you want to do is get that cool drone sound.

Guitar (black Squier strat) No.32.  I think it saw the same fate as Guitar No.33: pawn shop death.

I really liked the melody here, but I couldn't figure out where to go with it so I just goofed around with looping it.  Which is why it ended up here.

I worked for a few weeks trying to get this song to sound right, but never achieved that perfect balance that would have lead me to finishing with the vocals.  Ever present in the background while I was recording was my son, Orion, who at 7 had grown ear-weary of hearing it played over and over and over; a common complaint every musician hears - "Not Again!".  Sorry son, but I actually wrote this one for you:

Ocean of Emotion

Lo-fi electronica/garage/demoscene/rock/country/blues.  This is a collection of unfinished demo music from between 1996-2004 when I was experimenting with various software sythesizers, drum machines, loopers, DAWs and real accoustic/electric instruments.  It's rare that people get the opportunity to listen to a musician's "demo journal" - where they just find a grove, hit record and start playing for no other reason than to see where it leads.  This collection is just that: raw, unfinished, ugly in spots; soaring defeated vistas unclimbed where in places it really looked promising.  Put your headphones on and have fun.
