Super excited to announce my first episode of ‘Notes by M3L’. In this episode you'll hear a mix of music I'd play live. I love to mix emotional pop with the harder EDM genres! 

This episode’s quote is: ‘It’s not that simple’. One I’ve been finding myself to have stopped using this year and I’m really proud of that. It is possibly the biggest lie we tell our selves and the truth is you just have to start whatever it is that’s ‘not that simple’, just like this mixtape idea I’ve been sitting on;)

This episode's quote is: People should like , Love themselves more'. I saw this quote in an interview and I liked it because it was said so humble, but nevertheless so true. Most of the songs I Picked have a big narrative that's led from this quote, so keep it in mind while listening and 'just like, love yourself more'

The third episode of Notes By M3L! I really enjoy doing these episodes, that's why this one is a bit longer. I got very inspired at Tomorrowland to discover the drum and bass scene and the soundscape that some of these tracks have! So If you like A bit of emotional house, pop, garage and drum and bass, this one is for you! 

This episode's quote is about how, people that are very passionate about something, often are misunderstood. Like if you like what you do you don't really work right? But ofcourse this isn't true! If you like what you do, you'll be working evenings and nights when your friends are out. You'll always be grinding away, just because you want to show the world this thing that you love.

M3L (pronounced “Mel”) is a Dutch electronic music producer and DJ. He is known for his unique way of resampling vocals, creating an emotional, energetic yet raw sound.

M3L’s love for the piano fuels his creative process as an artist and always delivers authentic ,euphoric and harmonising productions, combining the world of dance, and pop, with modern electronic underground styles. Combining that with his interest in the ‘direct’ and ‘literal’ form of storytelling that’s found in indie songwriting takes him a long way. M3L’s blended music genre is strongly influenced by artists like Skrillex, Diplo, The Chainsmokers, NOTD, Fred Again and Shy Martin.

Even though he was new to the scene, Mel gained various experiences throughout the past years he joined many writers camps in NL and Finland. Together with N!SMO he took on various projects such as a syncing project for the lead campaign of 4711, a luxury perfume brand.

In the past years he performed in multiple cities and countries through friends and musical connections. He’d find himself playing in clubs like: Annabel, M’ADAM, LG (Switzerland) and more. Nowadays you’ll find him in his studio in Hilversum polishing his style or performing anywhere, mainly in Amsterdam. He is hyper dedicated to create more releases, focus on his sound and refining his vision, so he can play bigger shows and work with greater artists.
