Hola a tod@s, regresamos con nuestra serie de podcast, y ya van 99! Esta vez, el turno es para Mazi, uno de los miembros de UEMA.
Mazi lleva muchos años tras los platos y ha pasado por infinidad de estilos, buena cuenta de ello son las sesiones que nos ha ido ofreciendo en nuestro sótano favorito a lo largo de estos últimos años. Gracias a él hemos bailado ritmos lentos de Techno profundo y mental, hemos sudado Ácido y quemado suela con sus Breaks.
Y es que Mazi no se deja encasillar y cada sesión es un discurso, cada vez más elaborado y haciendo gala de su técnica, directa e impecable. Sin duda, Mazi, es uno de los talentos locales que nunca falla.
En este viaje Mazi, nos muestra parte de su artillería Electro con una paleta de sonidos muy amplia donde poco a poco nos va llevando a una zona de baile llena de humo y de luz estroboscópica.

"A ride through the improvised vibration created by the friction of the horse's mane with the strings. Sounds that lengthen or brief pizzicatos that you don't seem to know where they go, the music score is created instantly and the intrigue is constant. The sonorous journey is a meeting with friends, a successful test; an hour that is an instant, an hour that is drops of sweat, an hour that is abstraction, an astral journey, an hour of enjoyment."

Fredi's note about some Klangreise - 1984 (2021) tracks:

-"Space", was recorded & produced at Kabel Tv 1984 in "the open channel" Backsound produced with help of DJ Mark Ernestus & Akademie der Künste Berlin, - "Glasperlenspiel", is a paint over a glass window, during a Cello performance. The back Loop was made by reel tape, recorded at Death Sea durng a Israel Tour on 1982, - "Dessert wind" recorded in Dead Sea (Palestine Tour) Echo en Gedi - In a oasis at Death Sea, Bible-historic, - "Sky kiss", WolkenKuss Stimmungsbilder, Death Valley California, a landscape full of different minerals, a miracle when I was there in 1981, I heard in my ears the soundmaschine, recorded at Ingo Werner Studio, Rüsselsheim-Bauscheim, - "Friedensmelodie (peace melodie)", Ingelheim Burgkirche, an historical ritual place. Scientists believe, Karl der Große and other Kings where here. International Folk-Festival, my mother comes from there, - "Klangreise", jazzy walk Mendocino, thanks to people who where hosting us, on California Tour, recording session at Ingo Werner Studio, - "Abbaye de Senanque", a beautiful monastery in the Prevence located at east of Avignon. Recorded in the middle of the night; Bansuri bamboo flute Matthias Will, Cello Fredi Alberti, - "Walz".  "Cathares Occimore Michael Poitau", Pan Ra, - "King Kong 15/8", Embryo Band.

Fredi Alberti (@fredi-alberti) is a musician and composer of cello, horn and ukulele. He was a member of Pan-Ra band. Fredi studied cello improvisation and sound composition with Prof. Johaness Fritsch. He was also studying at Tone Art Darmstadt Academy with a Horn Orchestra. He is influenced by new music ethnologic and Pythagoras philosophy. His work stands out for fusing jazz, folk, kraut or even synth music with his wonderful improvisations, highlighting the cello as his main instrument. We want to recommend his magnificent work to you.

There was a tear in poor Robbie’s eye when Chris mounted the steps of that bus for Valencia. Yet change means new opportunities and WE FORFEIT have been lucky enough to have play a handful of times at the wonderful Killing Time in Valencia. 
The last time the lads were there, a two hour set of caustic and raw electronics was the serving. Robbie was up first and sadly only his part of the mix survives. Nevertheless, the memories of a cracking night with las fallas at Happy Mondays will be cherished for years to come.
This episode starts off with some a favourite from Dark Entries, the klepto-electro new beat of Grey House opens before some mellow techno machinations care of John Beltran, DJN4 and Gerd. Chris takes over with some new Chicago house grit with some friendlier numbers sprinkled in with Paul Hardcastle and our favourite Hyboid.
Our mix goes from weirded wave into acid absolution and then dives headlong into some hedonism, even a bitta Kraftwerk in there.

For the conclusion of our seventh season, here's one of GNILYF's Melange Mixtapes.
Whether it's ambient, jazz, techno, electronic, musique contrete, classic or virtuosic instrumental music, anything can end up in these multitrack mixtapes. The goal is a journey through many emotional states, creating new perspectives with every playthrough and ever changing mindsets.

Sometimes after sixty minutes, the same feeling can arise as if you were looking back on an entire year. Isn't it strange how experiencing moments and remembering them can not seldom lead to completely contrary feelings. Even knowing this fact does not change its outcome. Experience changes us in such a way that we do not look at past things with the same ego as we look at future things. Repeated experience also changes our view of things again. The constant changes of our self are unstoppable and thus, with the necessary awareness and open-mindedness, enable us to experience ever new adventures, even in the most trivial moments.

On to the ninth season of POOLcast.

"December means this is the very last episode of 2020.
For this occasion I chose to reflect a little bit on what has happened this year and how hilarious the people reacted to it.
I suppose it has a more playful approach and somehow aims to make fun of the western world and their problems by mixing songs with samples from youtube videos. It contains some beautiful pieces by M Squared artists, Robert Wyatt and Softmachine and many more,
as well as even more beautiful samples of anti-corona protests, psychedelic televangelist, Kim Kardashian searching for her 75.000 $ earring and queen Elizabeth trying to calm everybody down.
