About the release
	
Inspired by Pierre Schaeffer´s “Acousmatic Sound practices” [... sound that is heard without originating cause being seen...]
Each track is a journey  into micro tonalities via sampling and granular synthesis, exploring what´s hidden within few milliseconds of sound and morphing it into an unknown landscape of timbres.

Starkol takes us through a nebulous path, a hint of future garage, keyboards and samplers with a range of kicks and sequenced contretemps; alternating between rhythms and a cinematic approach on the second half, an unusual exercise of style and beauty. 
The mist gets even thicker with Elniñodelospeines´s overdub on A2, with endlessly ethereal synthesized planes, as per usual on him, 
a rhythmical base close to a 2 step aesthetics, the end feels like a mysterious opened door.
You Cover Me with Edits starts as an apparent de-constructed ballad, slowly taking us into deep, uncharted territory; the subtle singer ́s voice is manipulated; permeating between an amalgamation of sound effects that introduce a vibrant deployment of rhythms.
On Senza Titolo we jump into a syncopated and infectious percussive groove right from the start. The arrangement oscillates between downtempo and dub, a journey where Franky walks through keyboards and frequency layers with proficient skills.
Rose Bowl, the closing track of the Ep is an immersive, dream-like listening experience. The heartbeat-like sounds construct a rhythmical base into a spatial levitation of micro tonalities. The soundscape is composed by sampling a few seconds of a noisy 1930s blues vinyl, focusing on the imperfections that are often hidden in between the groves.

_Foodandsound records is meant to be a not for profit label, we publish vinyl and cassette only releases and we approach our creative work on an artisan level, each vinyl as a unique piece, giving as much importance to the container as to the content. 
Only a fixed percentage of each record goes straight to the artist, in order to support his work, the rest is cost of production, which goes back entirely to the next release, each one hand-crafted at Las Víboras Studio, an isolated country house located in the Sierras Subbéticas´s natural park, right in the centre of Andalusia. 
Whereas possible, every part of the record production is carbon neutral and primarily using recycled materials.

The NYC based producer/DJ is most definitely in the zone, sharing 6 new original tracks that sit somewhere between deep house and dub techno. This eclectic release is full of grit and attitude, industrial percussion and beautifully dark energy to lead us from the summer and into the winter.

The EP comes with a remix from one of our favourite producers, Lb Honne, who's album 'a move' blew us away, with its delicate, nuanced productions that still manage to carry so much weight and depth. His remix of Sun Earring is a heads down, hypnotic techno affair that showcases a darker, heavier side to the Swiss artist."

Not the second song I made for my Ämpers@nd project but I found it fitting as a second song on the EP because of the build up and tension. It has a kind of hunting feeling to it and some finallity (or something). It's hard to put into words. Just like "Slowly Getting Heavier" this one seemed to compose itself and just poured out of me. I think the title says it all and captures the feeling it tries to convey.
