I feel for all those musicians who must struggling in the absence of a coherent, connected, strategic response to Covid-19. What's an essential shop for goodness sake? What does that mean? It's pretty damned essential to the persons, who own it, work in it, and buy from it. Time for some joined-up thinking and to involve other spheres of expertise in tackling the pandemic. The Science doesn't cut it unless it involves and embraces economics, ecology, sociology, mental health and others, in no particular order of preference.
