It's been a long while since I've uploaded anything, so here's one of my favorite tracks I've ever made.

Full version of https://soundcloud.com/m_v_m/matter-glass . Since then, it's become sincerely more melancholy, with a switch-up halfway through. Obviously, it's all sample-based, so there's only so much modulation I can do, but I believe that the mood, melodies and atmosphere more than carry the song to almost six minutes. Extended! Still not quite complete, but I found -the- perfect plug-in to make things sound so much sexier. It needs more work yet and it still isn't quite long enuff, but I'm really getting there, I think I am.

Frostbitten Heart (New Ver.)

Touch it, bring it, pay it, watch it, turn it, leave it, start, format it...
Very old remix and one of the first songs I was actually happy with. Already over two years old, but still I love it. I hop someone here will, too. I decided to remix this track because the original track was so sodding terrible. Don't believe me? YouTube it.

A class project that I finally got done. I had to mix the audio tracks of this local guitar/vocals and bass blues rock duet that we recorded. Recorded all three tracks at once, hence the slight imperfection of it, but I think that gives it charm. :) Never mind the random honk around 1:46. Mixed entirely in ProTools. I think I did a pretty good job, actually.
The band is called Blue Trane. Y'all should really check them out. This guy sounds a lot like Dean Martin to me.

This is it. The song is now approximately as good as I can make it. With my newfound mixing skills and actually workable microphone (an amazing Shure SM58), I can finally record decent vocals. This is just head-and-shoulders above my last version. The vocals are so much cleaner and sharper, and the kick just sounds perfect to me. No more blowing out the mids and using a limiter for me, hah. I worked pretty much three hours nonstop on this. The vocal takes aren't the best as there are still some pops here and there, but I think this ultimately sounds so much better than the old version ( http://soundcloud.com/m_v_m/above-beyond-alone-tonight ).

Please, please tell me what you think! I'm actually proud of myself for once! I gotta go back and properly mix a bunch of my old songs now that I can actually do it decently! Thank you so much for your support, everyone. <3 You're all fabulous.

Birthday gift. This song has literally been in the works for a year now, but he gave me the will to finish it, to take it into this new direction, give life, soul and love to it. As did my SM58, but that's something else entirely. Not much else to say here...but I really hope you all like it. This is right on-par with my "Alone Tonight" song, except I'd like to think the vocals are even higher-quality here than they were there.

Pabst Party

I wish I could find one consistent genre for my music. WIP. A clear DJ Shadow-inspired production. (See "In/Flux".) Might go along with my upcoming album concept. We'll see. Expect more madness like this soon. I'm actually really happy with this, believe it or not. I can't wait to extend this further.

Matter - Glass

Hip-hop beat I've been working on. This was made over two nights of work, when I should probably have been doing homework, but oh well. This was more fun. This...may just be one of the best beats I've ever made. The bass was done on a whim and I am so happy with how it sounds. It was a huge risk, but...I like how it fills up the sound spectrum personally. There could be more mixing done to perhaps make things flow together even better, but this is where it is now. I also feel like I should give it a second "verse" for the purpose of extending its duration, but I don't want it to overstay its welcome. Damn, though...I'm so happy with this, you have no idea. I'm practically tittering. The only thing I'm not 100% on is the drum beat sample I used. Otherwise, I honestly think this may be one of the best songs I've ever made. I really, really hope you guys enjoy this! This is technically "Nu Beat 11", not that any of you honestly care. :P
