"Apart” is a two-player, split-screen adventure game in which the players use a shared keyboard or a single shared Xbox controller to find each other in the maze-like, war-torn town. Innovative game elements assist them in their journey. As the players approach near each other, the ambient music increases in complexity, layering in more instruments as an audio cue for the general direction of the other player. The colors in the environment become more saturated and vibrant the closer the players are to each other.

A little short orchestra number I wrote inspired by a dog named Dolly that is super stupid but extremely endearing!

YES! I used polyphony here to capture the quirky and rambunctious... sort of being everywhere quality of her.

I played Dittersdorf's E Major bass concerto on my Roli Seaboard Block and Audio Modeling (SWAM) string bundle. For the horns, I used Bravura Scoring Brass VST; and for the flutes, I used PO5 standard.

Dance of the Devil

I wrote a madrigal in a neo-Renaissance style. Please check it out :).

This is my own arrangement on an excerpt from John Dowland's (1563-1626) song titled "Flow My Tears." I often wonder what the music would have been like if Gesualdo and Dowland had collaborated. I used strong dissonance to express despair with moments of harmonic stability to insinuate otherwise.

I hoped that the pan-triadicism peppered with various dissonances (m2, M7, diminished chords, non-functionals), that would have easily soured the palettes of Gesualdo and Wagner, be of some value.
