Better in the Dark - Jordana x TV Girl

Here's a new version I did of the familiar holiday classic Auld Lang Syne. Based on a poem by Scottish poet Robert Burns, the title essentially refers to the remembrance of times past. As we draw close to the year's end, it's such an ideal time to do just that, and also to reflect on the hope and expectation of things yet to come.

Here's wishing you and yours a fond recollection of the year past, and a happy and prosperous New Year!

Dear friends, I can't help that I simply have to continue to protest against all the violence in the world. It's only getting worse and worse - the invasion of Ukraine has escalated the number of bombings and violence in the Middle East is increasing. This is not the children's fault!

Kids Must Feel Safe

When the children are leaving their home
they must always be safe without any threats
wherever they may be - in our world
They say mom now I am home

The Year twenty three has not been good
for the kids in our world - a lot of kids have died
since villains have sent - bombs on their homes
the kids want to be safe

The year twenty four gives us hope
that the rulers of the world finally realized
that it is not ok to take any life
they can’t blame any war for that

The people must cool down
since all hatred create violence at once
this is an important lesson for all kids on earth
and the sun will shine on us

Зимняя пастораль

Надышавшись кислородом,
Ветер спит - к луне лицом,
Дело пахнет новым годом,
Хреном, луком, холодцом.

Пахнут звёзды небом талым,
Жисть - весёлый кавардак,
Снег, упав куда попало,
Не уляжется никак.

Нынче ночка - высшей пробы,
Хоть бери - от счастья вой,
Пахнет будущее сдобой,
А минувшее - халвой.

Воздух пахнет мягким знаком,
Буквой А разит и Б,
Призадумавшись, собака
Тихо писает себе.

Становясь мудрей и краше,
Дед мороз транжирит смех,
И, подпортив маслом кашу,
Я замаливаю грех.

Грусть - убойна, как полено,
Но надежда - наш конёк
И в углу большой Вселенной
Твой мерцает огонёк.
