This week its Foot Long Records First Birthday on the 15th of September, and to celebrate we have a very special mix from a technician in, Diverse Pressure !

Diverse Pressure says;

Started Djing back in the 90's. Bought a pair of Technics 1200's and still use them to this day. I class myself as an old skool style Dj using only turntables.

Once I mastered the art of mixing I entered a DJ competition at the local underground record store and won a DJ slot at local night called the Perfect Beat, this turned into a residency. From this I went on to play at underground raves until the early 2000's and even promoted a couple of nights. Now just an avid record collector with around 1200 Vinyl. I am just an internet DJ now doing my page and a few guest mixes. I mix music from 1992 to present and as the name suggest it's a diverse mix of Drum and Bass/Jungle.

Foot PrintZ Sessions - 033 - Diverse Pressure (Read Description)

Thanks to Sun And Bass to give me the opportunity to showcase my Parallax label and thanks to everybody that attended my set on the 13th September at Ambra Day and showed me love. If you love all styles Drum&Bass and Jungle and haven´t been to Sun And Bass I strongly advise you go there, there´s simply no better place on earth to celebrate our culture and feel connected to like-minded people. Personally, that´s what I rate most: The special situation to really be a part of this thing, physically there, for an entire week living the life. In 'real life', you just don´t have the chance to live that lifestyle 24/7. For me, it´s impossible to connect with people outside these given few hours in a club environment or live the 'Junglist lifestyle' outside my music room aka the man-cave, where I´m working on music, mixes or releases and speak to people on the phone or in front of a screen. But to really interact with other people - that share that same insane love for this music -directly, for a whole week, that´s what makes it special. San Teodoro - that´s the place where you see legends of the scene dead-nervous with shaky hands when dropping their first tune because that´s the place where everyone on the floor is as much 'in the know' and knowledgable as you are and contribute to keeping this thing alive in one way or the other. It´s all vibes, a special time in a special place that we call paradise. Maximum respect Sun And Bass for all the memories, may it continue for years to come!

The recording here contains a lot of music forthcoming on the Parallax label in 2022 & 2023. 2022 has been our busiest year with 5 new releases and there´s a lot more lined up for the next year, so keep your eyes on us!

I was honoured to be asked by Mantra and Double O to warm up room  1 at Rupture's 16th birthday last month on 19th November, alongside a full line up of some of the best DJ's, MC's and producers in the scene!
It was daunting, to say the least, but I did it and, after a wave of pure anxiety I came off the turntables smiling and proud that I had done a pretty good job! :D
 
It's a little late, but, for those that missed it or couldn't make it, here is my 93/94 all vinyl vibe promo mix that I recorded at home a month before the gig..needless to say I was shitting my pants; of course, I changed a few tunes along the way running up to the gig!
Music is such a HUGE part of my life, I love it and can't live without it. I am so compassionate about music it that it sometimes consumes me, to the point of intense worry that I feel I should stop mixing..but I have turned a corner after Rupture and I have gained that passion again <3 

Thank you to my beautiful Rupture family, ALL friends, ALL loved ones and ALL the beautiful dance floor massive for keeping it real and friendly. I love each and every one of you.

1. Who is your favorite jungle producer?
M-Beat, that man made some tunes back in the day, got dealt the shitty end of the stick and doesn't get enough props in my opinion. Glad he's making tunes again.

2. What are some upcoming releases you have coming out?
There are 4 tunes coming out on PPJ, Big up Drew and Aaron. There are another 4 tunes coming out on digital, through Amen Theory, big up Ellis! Other than that, I'm sat on loads and after some tweaks, I'll start getting them sent out and see what happens.

3. I think you're into cars, so if you had an unlimited budget, what would be your dream car?
I'd buried the petrol head for a fair while, but started getting bored and he's out of the box again, dream car is an easy one, Proper Porsche 911, no driver aids, just a steel body, rwd, and boost!
