I'm very excited to share this (Unofficial) Bootleg Edit of Nandu, Tripolism & Radeckt - Dope Dance.

If you haven't given the original track a spin yet, you're missing out on a sarcastic masterpiece that throws some shade at the electronic music scene.

When I first heard this track, I fell in love with the humor and the underlying message, hitting close to home with the current state of our scene. The lyrics, delivered by a soulful choir with a playful tone, cleverly poke fun at the prevailing mindset: “We didn't come here to dance; we only came for the dope.”

I've been on a quest for a dance floor where the connection with the music is tangible. Unfortunately, it feels like most gatherings are filled with folks soaring on another plane, high off their minds, detached.

It's disheartening to witness a scene where people seem more interested in being high than connecting with the music. Parties have become more about escapism than the artistry of a musical experience. Don't get me wrong; there's nothing inherently wrong with drugs. In fact, they can enhance our connection with music. But the sad truth is that the dance floors I find myself on are often missing the essence of being there for the music.

I've been in it for the music since day one. While I have nothing against the party favors, in fact, they might deepen the musical experience. it makes me sad that the core reason we hit the dance floor seems to be getting lost. That connection, that dance, that spiritual experience, that's what I signed up for.

I believe in the power of the dance floor as a safe space to allow yourself to be, to feel, and to express. I've healed my soul in dance floors, I've found meaning.

So, to sprinkle some good vibes into the scene, I decided to edit "Dope Dance" as a reminder to keep our values in focus and return to the core reasons we attend these parties. It's a call to awareness, a call to dance, to connect, to celebrate, and to reconnect with the true essence of electronic music.

I'm genuinely thrilled about how it turned out. I threw in my groove, my psychedelic twists, fresh vibes, organic textures, and a dash of ethnic influences. I can't wait for you all to vibe with it.

Here's to keeping our values intact, remembering why we fell in love with this scene, and, most importantly, to dancing our hearts out.

Hope it resonates. Let's dance!

Enamour has been making serious waves on the scene of late, earning support from the likes of Solomun, Black Coffee and CamelPhat. As a DJ, Enamour has played at esteemed venues such as Space Miami, The Brooklyn Mirage and Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles.

“I've always been interested in blurring genre lines and pushing boundaries with my music and this one is no exception. About Wolfgang Gartner:
The most commercial alias for Joey Youngman - the DJ and Dance producer who also recorded as Bosco & Terell, Count Funkula, Frequent Flyers, Mario Fabriani, and Spyro Pappadopoulos, not to mention monikers for his several collaborative projects - Wolfgang Gartner functions as an outlet for his active and noise-packed electro-house productions, which contrasted greatly with his more sophisticated and “tasteful” deep house releases. Youngman didn’t reveal that he was behind Wolfgang Gartner until 2008, once the alias gathered steam in clubs around the world. From 2007 through 2011, there were nearly a dozen Gartner 12’’ releases, along with remixes of tracks by Tiësto, MSTRKFRT and Britney Spears. The eventual release of a compilation album, Back Story, helped fill in the story.

In September 2011, Youngman released the first Wolfgang Gartner album, Weekend In America (Ultra), which allowed him to indulge in his love for rap music by roping guest appearances from Cam’ron, Jim Jones, will.i.am, and Eve, along with R&B vocalist Omarion. Additional singles on Ultra followed over the next several years, leading up to his second proper album, 10 Ways to Steal Home Plate, in 2016. Released on Gartner’s own Kindergarten label, it featured Wiley and Trina on the single “Turn Up.” He issued a handful of singles in 2018, including the club favorite “Ching Ching”, “Freak”, and “The Upside Down”, leading up to the release of his EP Medicine later that year. 2020 proved to be an even busier year for Youngman, releasing his latest EP Tucson in July, followed by two singles, Electric Soul and Battlestations, the latter featuring DJ and producer Kill The Noise.
