Born in 1991 to a Norwegian Mother and a Grenadian Father in Telescope, St Andrews, Grenada, Maccaroot landed straight into the heart of spice and rhythm.  An island full of Calypso, Soca and the home of ‘jab jab’, it was inevitable that energy and versatility would be something Maccaroot would naturally embody.

Over time Maccaroot would gravitate towards artists with a strong vocal ability, lyrical flair and an even stronger message to share, artists such as Peter Tosh, Vaughn Benjamin, Dennis Brown and KRS-One.  These political, social and forward-thinking messages of love would soon echo through his own work.

Self taught and mastered, Maccaroot already has a solid archive and has featured on a number of different tracks for European artists and producers.  A truly multi-faceted musician who is steadily creating a melodic-melting-pot of his own.
