'Ellum Audio serves up a selection of dance floor weapons on a bumper new sampler handpicked by label head Maceo Plex.

Italian Laherte trained at Studio 76 Music and has since built on that early promise with tunes on top labels. He opens up with 'My Mind', a driving techno cut with slapping hits and filtered alien sounds bringing the menace. Ellum Audio artist Waltervelt then keeps it dark and cosmic with the skewed synth energy and prickly beats of his eerie 'Back Room'.

Argentina's David Bau has made big moves in the underground with this potent take on techno. Here he offers up 'Deconstruct', a tense and turbulent stomper with flashy synth designs and intense, grinding bass. French mainstay Madben follows up his excellent recent album with 'The Drone Dance', another standout track with strobe-lit synth lasers firing over the face of an ice-cold rhythm.
Part 2 opens with Ibiza-based producer and DJ John Monkman, the founder of Beesemyer Music and a familiar face on this label. He impresses again with 'Talking Heads', another sublime mix of futuristic synth designs carefully layered up over compelling, steel-edged drums. 8-Bit Culprit is the house and techno alter ego of Faraz Ehsan from India. His 'Refurbished Robots' is an electrifying peak time cut that takes you to the heart of a dance floor in outer space, with nebulous pads and squealing cosmic sounds all wrapping around the urgent grooves.

Next up is the collaborative Headwaters duo from Turkey. They draw on their mix of electronic sounds and instrumental skills on 'Eternal Madness', a slick tech track that locks you into crisp loops then mesmerises with the glowing synth harmonies which shine brightly up top. Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen is back on the label to round out this collection with 'Liberate,' a dark dance floor punisher with neck-snapping snares and ghoulish voices over a slithering and hypotonic beat. This has already been receiving plays from Maceo Plex at the likes of Timewarp, Brunch Madrid and the Ushuaia opening and is set to be a summer highlight.

This is another high-class voyage to the edges of the techno galaxy courtesy of Ellum Audio.'

It's been 10 years since their last release on 20/20 Vision, but it is with great excitement that we welcome Spirit Catcher back to the label with their aptly named Blast From The Past EP! 

As one of the corner stones of 20/20, their early singles and album are legendary label artefacts and these guys were total pioneers of the cosmic, disco infused house sound which then became prominent in following years. 

Blast From The Past has been getting heavy rotation in Ralph Lawson's sets over the summer and so we're really glad to finally see it reach the light of day. This one is a trip into hyperspace with cosmic synth pulses leading the way before a killer bass line takes you track straight to planet Spirit Catcher! 

On the flip Closer takes the trip further with more expert bass hooks being joined by vox pads and otherwordly fx. The EP is finished off with Routing Madness, a homeage to the duos love for analogue studio gear which you can hear in the intricate synth patterns which pop and weave through the tracks duration.

Berlin based DJ and producer Patryk Molinari steps up for remix duties and gives Verana his 303 Treatment. Patryk knew electronic music would be a big part of his life from an early age. His late teenage years would become the moment he realised this passion was so strong and he started to produce his own music. He was influenced by the Big Beat scene but soon discovered house music opting for the deeper shades within the genre. He has released a plethora of top notch cuts across various labels in the last several years and shows no signs of letting up, definitely an artist to keep tabs on. As you'd expect from the remix title we're treated to a healthy dose of vintage 303 acid. A chunky kick drum leads the way as a meandering acid line coasts in the background over a superb thick bass. Cool FX, gated synths and swirling pads add colourful textures but it's the acid that gets under your skin giving this track a unique flavour. Top notch stuff you do not want to miss.

An old friend returns to Pets. Three years after his ‘Polyphonic’ EP, Catz ‘n Dogz bring the legend that is Mathias Kaden back on the label and the results speak for themselves…
Following his recent barnstormers on Avotre and Rekids, both ‘Square’ and ‘Distant Horizon’ deliver in that unhurried, cosmic journey-like way Kaden has made his signature over the years: gentle layering, subtle moment, palpable atmospheres but the drive and underbelly of a bulldozer. 
‘Square’ kicks off the show with an eight-minute adventure into deep, warm undulating acid. Heavy subs, fluid drums and a persistent spoken vocal texture, this one wraps you up like a cloak. ‘Distant Horizon’, meanwhile, whips that cloak off so quickly it will send you spinning deeper and deeper into the celestial rabbit hole. A 10-minute Mathias epic, it warms up with a progressive rolling feel for a good few minutes before we’re suddenly derailed into a trippy, hazy brew of weird bass bubbles and some rather outlandish spoken word. Poetry in high grade technoid motion. 
And the motion doesn’t stop there… Ever ones to get involved, Catz ‘n Dogz get their paws on ‘Distant Horizon’ and give it their own gritty, grainy, trippy twist. Two parts tribal, one part bass, all parts peak time, this doesn’t just stare out at the horizon but flies you right over it. 
Two beautiful originals, one killer remix. Be there or be ‘Square’…
