Frenchy keeps busy on the underground house scene with residencies at the legendary Back to Basics in Leeds, Body MVMT in London and Beatnick Collective in Manchester, as well as being a regular at Gottwood Festival. He is an avid vinyl collector for over 25yrs and ran The Garage nightclub which won the coveted DJ Mag small club of the year award and Waxwerks Records in Leeds, so safe to say he has a few hidden gems up his sleeve. With a very broad taste he likes to cross styles when he DJ’s and is equally as at home playing a 6am after hours as he is smashing out a main slot, disco under his Disco Till I Die guise, or a poolside balearic set at one of his regular gigs in Ibiza.

I've Tried With U

Naples-based but internationally renowned Cristian Volpe has spent many years as a resident in some key clubs around Europe. As such, he has a sound that takes in many influences from deep to soul to Afro, and they all get distilled into unique productions on the likes of Plastik People, Motive Records and Space Disco as well as Adunanza, which is also where he has one of his hometown residencies.

His standout new single 'Never Gonna Stop' taps into the very essence of proper house music - it's got a big soul, and a thumping groove that taps into primal dancing urges. The percussion is slick with hints of tribal, while hazy trumpet motifs bring colour, and an expressive vocal adds extra fuel to the fire.

I had a hell of a lot of fun recording this......the view from the decks was the Manhattan skyline and I played music directly to it's beauty. This set was a warm-up for one of the best parties I've been to in years, The Carry Nation at the Good Room was exceptional......to anyone lamenting the demise of NYC I'd humbly quote First Choice and say........................"It's Not Over". This year, while the world as a whole seemed crazier than it has in our lifetimes, in our little corner, it was more beautiful than ever. We continue to feel blessed by the community that surrounds Mister Sunday and Nowadays as a whole, and we continue to be pleasantly dumbfounded that we get to spend our lives immersed in music and creating spaces for people to come together.

Before we close the door on the year, we wanted to share a little more music with you. This is the last two hours from the booth at Contact in Tokyo on Sunday, November 3, 2019.
