Motip White continues to chart his own course as we welcome him back to XYZ for the third time. The Cologne-based producer has never settled for the predictable norm, working his way through projects from all corners of the musical landscape on his eclectic journey. With releases on the likes of Innervisions & Correspondant, Motip's productions drip in analog tones & bespoke indie-punk influence. We're thrilled to welcome Motip back on XYZ with the Clean The Turbines EP.

The A-side What Do You Want Me To Say throws us into a synthetic soundscape, as Motip's signature vocal chops cut straight to the core. Riveting rhythms enter the fold, merging teeming tones with a rich indie foundation. Motip White at his absolute best.

On the flip, the title track Clean The Turbines eases into a flow, as a slick broken beat teases the senses. A late-night jam for the headiest of dancers, allowing space for minds to soar. A beautiful closer; a magical mover.

Join us for an epic and cutting-edge mix by DJ 0bleak  featuring artists from a number of different regions of the world in a sonic adventure that captures the zeitgeist and transcends genre with its range of sounds and styles from East and South Africa to North America, from Near East to Far East.

While the mix remains cohesive, it contains music as diverse as a South African gqom artist remixing an experimental artist from China, to Iranian-Canadian brothers Mohammad and Mehdi Mehrabani collaborating with Eomac from Ireland, to the group SŌN re-imagining the music of avant-garde Indonesian duo, Senyawa.

However, before you go on this ride, be forewarned: Nothing essential happens in the absence of noise!

This creation came about in 2020 when I was creating new blends for my We Are One sets during the COVID times and is something of an epic set closer! 

It takes a hefty chunk of Blue Monday along with a side order of Pacific State and ratchets them together with a deep-funk disco-groove and a liberal sprinkling of euphoria. Like all my favourite re-imaginings over the years, this one came together fast.

Whilst I'd love to release this through official channels, I'm more interested in people having it for their own sets and enjoyment, so I'm making it available as a FREE DOWNLOAD from the following LIMITED EDITION link.

"Why is mixtape art so important to me? Why mixtape?
Because it’s not just a collection of mine favourite tracks, but rather a closed whole, where every element is important for the whole show. This is a favourite stage of creating a mixtape-looking for points of contact, dialogue between the sound and emotions that the songs carry".

"My adventure with minimal synth, cold wave music began in 2018 with my fascination with album covers from my favourite record label, TONN Recordings. It was the photographs that were the impetus to get to know the collection of this excellent label. The first mixtape that was created in 2020 for Transmission / Transmission was just inspired by both TONN albums and the visual side - covers of the presented albums. For the next few years, also I used my own photographs for mixtape covers. From 2020 I made several mixtapes for Peruvian InClub Radio and Wave Press music blog".

This mixtape is called "NO FEAR”.

machine_logic, a curator of deep, hypnotic, progressive dance grooves with a delicate, ethereal chemistry. Always digging deep, his emotive selections tell his story. He cut his teeth in 1999 at KGRG-Auburn as both music director and host of their industrial radio program, Propaganda Department. From there came a spattering of one-off gigs and club nights, wandering through a variety of styles, before amassing a collection of the emotive and uplifting side of techno, house and breaks. While the music he plays is happy and soulful, he’s never afraid to reference his dark roots and heat up the dance floor. He’s played throughout the Pacific Northwest, with jumps down the West Coast. He loves playing nightclubs, rooftops, outdoors, and festivals.
