Machines Dream are a progressive rock band, whose material errs on the the melodic and atmospheric side of prog, albeit with no fear of solos! 

The band is Craig West (Vocals, guitar, bass), Brian Holmes (keyboards, bass), Ken Coulter (drums) Rob Coleman (lead guitar) and Jacob Rendell (bass, auxiliary).

Machines Dream formed informally in 2009 out of regular jam sessions with Craig, Brian and Ken just for the sake of having fun and making a racket. They began writing, and in 2010 added Keith to fill out their sound. Keith departed and the band soon added Rob Coleman and Jacob Rendell to complete the line-up for their second album release. 

The band will cite groups such as Marillion, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Opeth and maybe even some early Alan Parson's Project as influences. 

Machines Dream wear their influences on our sleeves, but that doesn't stop them from composing new music, experimenting with new sounds and writing songs that they're passionate about.
