A smile comes to my face when I think of all the magic moments I experienced this summer while playing my new Liveset. Thanks to all the dancefloor smirkers and hipshakers from the first row and thanks to all the people who created these beautiful spaces with wich I associate many wonderful memories. And of course thanks to all my friends and their great ability to absorb my huge nervousness bevore every gig!

This Liveset includes some of my personal favorite productions and also a few new tracks I problably will release in 2022 <3

Wir freuen uns sehr dieses wunderschöne Weihnachtsgeschenk machen zu können! Wir sind selbst ganz aus dem Häuschen, denn den Abschluss der diesjährigen Podcast-Reihe „Auf Zu Neuen Dächern“ macht das Duo „Xique-Xique“ aus Sao Paulo, Brasilien.

Inspiriert und auch beinflusst durch das Voodoohop-Kollektiv steht das Slow-Projekt von Dunwich & Biba Graeff für die brodelnde Alternativ-Szene Sao Paulo’s.
Hypnotische Melodien, organische Rhythmen und Deep-Grooves bestimmen das Set, dass uns von Xique-Xique hier zu Weihnachten geschenkt wird. Die Produktionen des Duo’s wurden unter Anderen von „Nicola Cruz“ geremixt und Ihre Veröffentlichungen erscheinen zumeist auf dem Label „The Magic Movement“.

‚Love Ethno-Schneckno, Fight Slomophobia‘ — unter dieser Parole fassen Lilly und Anucha grob ihren Pärchenurlaub-Sound zusammen: Musik aus aller Welt vereint mit Downtempo und dies am allerliebsten mit einer markant, saftigen Bassline unterlegt. Trotz Entschleunigung kann es dabei auch mal treibend, kitschig und albern werden.

Für diesen Podcast aber schlagen sie für die kalte Jahreszeit bewusst etwas ruhigere Töne an. Abseits des Partykontextes präsentieren sie hier persönliche und intime Perlen aus ihrer Musiksammlung. Damit es diesen Winter trotz Clubabstinenz etwas musikalische Untermalung für all die Dinge gibt, die man eben so zuhause treibt, 
haben wir uns daran gemacht, unseren Rebellion der Träumer* TraumCast aufzupolieren. Wir starten ab heute wieder monatlich mit wohl selektierten Kompositionen zwischen Traum, Rebellion und Imagination. Den Anfang macht heute direkt unser Rebellion Gründer Schmeckefuchs - der Grande Dame of Dark Downtempo.

Viel Liebe und ein großes Dankeschön geht raus an alle die uns bisher in welcher Form auch immer auf unserem Weg begleitet haben.

☀️ Mit welchem Gefühl und mit welchen Gedanken hast du dein Set fabriziert?

Die Elemente des Sets haben sich über einen ganz langen Zeitraum hinweg zusammen gefunden und spiegeln für mich die Höhen und Tiefen dieses absolut durchrüttelnden Jahres. 

Es geht es mit einigen Atemelementen los, die mich daran erinnern, wie sehr mich Sport durch die letzten Monate gerettet hat wenn ich es jetzt wieder Höhre gibt es ein direktes Gefühl von Fokus und Klarheit - „Hejj, Achtung, wir sind im Hier-und-Jetzt“. Das Set wird dann erst etwas fordernder und später zunehmend eskalativ, weil ich es wichtig finde, dass wir uns trotz der Isolation lebendig fühlen. Wir haben mit unserer Gäng diesen Sommer richtig große Anstrengungen unternommen um sichere Räume zu schaffen, in denen es trotz aller Einschränkungen möglich ist gemeinsam Musik zu erleben und das Leben zu spüren. Das hat mir Kraft gegeben und ich finde diese Kraft ist auch in den Tracks zu spüren :)
Der Traumcast endet mit einem melancholischen Song von meiner Quarantäne-Mitgefangenen Íria- „Se Essa Rua Fosse Minha“. Der Track bringt für mich die Traurigkeit und Sehnsucht aufs Parkett, die ich in dieser Zeit immer wieder verspüre. Mit Íria hatte ich während dem 1. Lockdown in Leipzig einen spannenden, kreativen Austausch und wir haben zusammen Bergeweise Eiscreme vernichtet gegen den Coronablues. 

☀️ Welche neue(n) Erkenntnis(se) hat dir das Jahr 2020 beschert?

Bei aller existenziellen Angst, die das Jahr für uns Kunst- und Kulturschaffende mit sich gebracht hat, finde ich es auch total spannend was passiert, wenn die gesamte Weltbevölkerung plötzlich aus ihren Routinen geschleudert wird. Da bricht sich viel Kreativität Bahn und es gibt Platz die eigene Rolle in der Welt neu zu denken. Ich konnte die Zeit auf jeden Fall nutzen mehr mit mir selbst zu connecten und auch meine engen Freundschaften besser zu pflegen, weil ich nicht mehr von Gig zu Gig gehetzt bin. 

☀️ Welche Tipps hast du gegen das Gefühl der Einsamkeit?

So banal das klingt, ich finde, telefonieren ist schon mal ein richtig guter Anfang. Grade auch mal bei Leuten anzurufen, wo vielleicht das Gefühl ist, dass sie auch am struggeln sein könnten, zuzuhören und nachzufragen wie die Lage ist!
