Macipoola (Real name Sihle Sibisi) born-and-bred in Umlazi, Q Section, grew fond of the Rap game at an early age.

In 1999 he moved to Inanda due to circumstances. He went to school in Ndabenhle Primary School and finished the 12th grade in Imbeka Secondary School. By the time he usually visited his hometown of Umlazi he used to do timeous freestyles along side his close friends.

Macipoola being enthusiastic of Hip-Hop he used to listen to artists like 50 Cent, Nas & Xhibit. His mentor Scebi "Snoop Dogg" Mjoka used to provide him with albums of KRS-One.

In 2007 with his associates Masikela & Spha they ventured seriously on recording their materials in home studios. The motivation, support and words of encouragement from family urged them to continue further with their art. They were already participating in music shows around 2010s. After 2010s Mabulala dropped "Earthquake" a mixtape produced by Killa B Mawaza, it's  during that time where he met up with Killa B Mawaza & Man-G. He then recorded "Afghanistan: The Ruff-tape" consisting of 13 tracks. It featured rappers like Masikela, Mr Puzzle & Adam amongst others.

Afghanistan was launched in a famous town club at 101 on 03 March in 2013. Eventually Macipoola formed Drop The Man Down On Top (DTM-Dot) with Thabzo, Sagat & Masikela. A Hip-Hip movement aimed at gathering emcees for cyphers, open mics and battles. This united a lot of artists as it was introducing new voices from different worlds. 

In 2014 Macipoola performed in Indie Hip-Hop Expo hosted by F.U.C.K Entertainment & Rush Studios. This took place at Zein Club in Johannesburg, Gauteng. He shared a stage with Joint Pusha, Anti-B &  Protista. Afghanistan received positive feedback from the fanbase of art as a whole. It sold well in hard copies. A music video "Take It Back" taken from his mixtape was shot and made available on YouTube. It soon went viral on social networks.

Macipoola is a force to be reckoned with. His abilities to stay in a beat using quick flows makes him a distinct kind of rapper. Versetal at his level, he can spit bars that are socially conscious. If he is Destro, his alter ego, he flies lines that try excessively to orbit the horrisons. His consistency helps him grow stronger.

Self-Mind Beginning, the second mixtape was released in 2015. While DTM-Dot was hosting Hip-Hop shows, Destro recorded a double-disc produced by King Junior, Maraka Robs, B.F.E, Mavie & Oudskul. That's when he founded Afrika Yoqobo, an independent record studio based in Umlazi. 

Also, Asteroid Records another record studio imprint by DTM-Dot is responsible for distributing Macipoola's music. With an EP "Diligence" dropped in collaboration with producer "Il-Deal" it's no surprise Macipoola is climbing to stardom. It was released through online music store Bandcamp in 2019. Even more DTM-Dot has serial freestyle tapes called Free 4 Alls. They are released free of charge as promotions.

Conclusively, Macipoola is currently producing, beat-making and edits visuals. He is studio-bound learning new ways of grooming his creativity. There are more projects that he is presently working on.
