This song came from some of my darkest nights - nights where pain had me wide awake staring at hospital ceilings, nights where my body was too weak to move but my spirit refused to quit. I wrote this while fighting chronic illness, hooked to TPN while it lasted 13 weeks, wheelchair bound more days than not to bed bound Now all the time. Finally Accepting Hospice and Accepting my illness, and praying quietly so I didn’t wake anyone up.

There were moments I couldn’t talk right and now more often now, moments my memory slipped, and all I could do was hold onto Yah with trembling hands and a tired heart. I’ve spent nights listening to IV pumps and monitors instead of music, hurting silently while the world kept spinning outside my hospital room.

 Pain & Peace When the Night Gets Heavy" is me admitting I’m not invincible. It’s me saying I hurt bad. But it’s also me saying I’m still here because Yah meets me in that pain. When doctors shake their heads and medicine can’t dull the fire, He sits beside me in the quiet and reminds me I’m not alone.

This track is for anyone who’s ever fought through pain others can’t see for the ones who whisper prayers instead of screaming, who survive one breath at a time. It’s faith in the middle of suffering, not after it. It’s me holding on when my body wants to let go.

If you’re up late hurting, scared, broken, or exhausted, let this song be a hand to hold.
Because even when the night gets heavy… Yah is heavier still.

Every Dream Leaves a Scar

A look at the Salvation Army's heroic efforts in Asia.  They are involved in many areas - some we'll look at later on such as anti-trafficking, education and disaster relief.  I've contacted some of the Corp's Asian efforts such as in the Philippines for research - if that goes well then I'll have future tracks on their efforts in Asia which are far more diverse then most realize (me being one!).  Should you wish to donate time and/or monies I'll post their web page a bit later (I'll update this).  I'm sure they would very much appreciate the help.
